Summary: Just got it and set up was a breeze. Then after using it, I downloaded the information to my computer and found way more information than I could ever use. If you like lots of stats then you will love this. Very comfortable too.
Summary: It doesn't really record the distance you swim but just calculate the distance according the pool length you entered. Though it's smart enough to add the length when you touch the wall of the pool.

Summary: It does everything as advertised, tracks time overall, time per 100m, time per interval, + it distinguishes stroke type. Since I need reading glasses there are a few navigation things (turning off and saving workout, for example) that I am learning to do by routine, so it's not 100% perfect.
Summary: Overall I'm happy with the Garmin Swim. It carries out the main purpose I bought it for - counting lengths. There are a few issues. You can customise pool size but you can only do it in meter or yard increments, so if you regularly swim in say a 26.5m pool you're a bit screwed.
Summary: Excellent watch, easy to setup and use (so my gf tells me), battery has lasted around 18 months of pretty regular use, it has to be replaced by being sent away though because of the pressurising and weve been quoted around 2-3 weeks and a cost of about £30.

Summary: arrived on time. well packed .works well in pool but dose sometimes add a length if you change stroke easy to set running when you enter the pool large display and permanent readout of total distance per week at bottom of display
Summary: This is a great watch and swim counter/timer, and I am very pleased with my purchase. The start up instructions are simple and easy to follow, and after a couple of lengths in the pool you can see the distance covered and the time taken.
If you stay within its limitations, it works perfectly

Summary: The first time I put this on in the pool it overestimated the number of laps I swam. I was quite disappointed until I realised that it only was inaccurate on those laps where I changed my stroke significantly within the lap e.g. swimming half the lap under water.
Summary: If you swim a lot and you like to monitor your performance then its very easy and gives a good level of detail. Software upgrades can be difficult and Garmin don't give the same level of support to this as they do to their running apps. But overall I've found it generally very accurate and useful
