Summary: I swim 2 miles a day and after a while I forger the lap count, this watch has made my swim workouts better allowing me to focus on my form instead of counting laps. Easy to use without looking at the instructions.
Summary: Just got it and set up was a breeze. Then after using it, I downloaded the information to my computer and found way more information than I could ever use. If you like lots of stats then you will love this. Very comfortable too.
Summary: It doesn't really record the distance you swim but just calculate the distance according the pool length you entered. Though it's smart enough to add the length when you touch the wall of the pool. I don't feel the result is accurate so far, maybe because I am still learning how to use it, but it's already a big help for me to finish 500m without pushing the buttom for each lap. This elegant watch is also big enough for reading the numbers in water and dark. I like it.
Summary: Awesome watch! I've had this watch for over a year now, so I thought I would give some feedback on it. It took a little while for me to get used to the buttons. I kept hitting the "stop" button, instead of "pause". However, once I got over that, it was a real pleasure to use. I tend to stop after each length of the pool (to get my breath back), and then restart it again when I do my next length.
Summary: I was using it for more than a year. The measurements were relatively precise. However you had to take into account that there was usually one or to mistakes for 1 hour swimming - and unfortunately, you are not allowed to correct that in the database - even if it shows that you were swimming 25m in 1 second. However the worst thing turned out to be when battery went out.
Summary: Overall I'm happy with the Garmin Swim. It carries out the main purpose I bought it for - counting lengths. There are a few issues. You can customise pool size but you can only do it in meter or yard increments, so if you regularly swim in say a 26.5m pool you're a bit screwed. It also shows you distance, not the number of lengths, while you're doing the swim.
Summary: Took watch for first swim this morning only to find upon checking time after first set of 20 lengths that the blue button had fallen off and the watch had filled up with water rendering it completely useless, very disappointed and thus it is being returned for refund.(watch had no impact simply button pushed and went for swim) Programming the watch pre-swim the features however are plentiful and exactly what is required, with the user interface and system easy to read,...
