Summary: I swim 2 miles a day and after a while I forger the lap count, this watch has made my swim workouts better allowing me to focus on my form instead of counting laps. Easy to use without looking at the instructions.
Summary: Just got it and set up was a breeze. Then after using it, I downloaded the information to my computer and found way more information than I could ever use. If you like lots of stats then you will love this. Very comfortable too.
Summary: It doesn't really record the distance you swim but just calculate the distance according the pool length you entered. Though it's smart enough to add the length when you touch the wall of the pool. I don't feel the result is accurate so far, maybe because I am still learning how to use it, but it's already a big help for me to finish 500m without pushing the buttom for each lap. This elegant watch is also big enough for reading the numbers in water and dark. I like it.

Summary: Thanks for all the input everyone. I have just began to swim for exercise and am looking for something like this to help track my work outs and my progression. Just looking for an opinion on the calorie counter feature. Does it display your calories burned? Also, do people feel it is accurate? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Summary: The first time I put this on in the pool it overestimated the number of laps I swam. I was quite disappointed until I realised that it only was inaccurate on those laps where I changed my stroke significantly within the lap e.g. swimming half the lap under water. On my next swim, I decided that I would only change my stroke from lap to lap i.e. keep it consistent within a lap.
Summary: First of all, one of the pins on the strap had a manufacturing flaw so it didn't fit in. It couldn't not be worn immediately so I would have had to go through the return procedure and then get a new one. I go swimming several times a week so this would have meant I would have missed many swims so I circumvented the problem myself. Then the watch would not connect with my Thinkpad W530 running windows 7 64-bit. It just never connected.
Summary: Highly recommend this watch. I originally bought the Oregon Scientific SE900 Training watch but found it to be very unreliable and inaccurate so returned it and went for this one. The difference is huge. Much more intuitive user interface and displays; much more useful and relevant information; great connectivity to upload to Garmin Connect with Ant+ (you just need to walk past your computer if it's switched in and the tiny dongle is plugged in, and it syncs and...
Summary: If you swim a lot and you like to monitor your performance then its very easy and gives a good level of detail. Software upgrades can be difficult and Garmin don't give the same level of support to this as they do to their running apps.
