The best swim watch that I have tried period.

matthew504, Ebay
9 July 2014
  • Summary: I swim 2 miles a day and after a while I forger the lap count, this watch has made my swim workouts better allowing me to focus on my form instead of counting laps. Easy to use without looking at the instructions.

Garmin Swim Watch

rmarcusdds, REI
14 November 2013
  • Summary: Just got it and set up was a breeze. Then after using it, I downloaded the information to my computer and found way more information than I could ever use. If you like lots of stats then you will love this. Very comfortable too.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Use

Garmin Swim Watch

Jovita, REI
28 October 2013
  • Summary: It doesn't really record the distance you swim but just calculate the distance according the pool length you entered. Though it's smart enough to add the length when you touch the wall of the pool.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Durable
  • Cons: Difficult To Use

Hugely disappointed. The watch is great and does what it ...

  • Summary: Hugely disappointed. The watch is great and does what it claims very well but the reason I bought it was the access I wanted to Garmin Connect, the web based software for storing, analysing and tracking swims. This was impossible to launch and Garmin provide useless support and instructions.

Tricky

Alius, Amazon
  • Summary: If you swim lets say 4x25m and plan to stop and rest for 15 secs watch cannot recognize your rest. I wonder is it difficult to stop chronometer after touch (which was recognized correctly almost 99%) if gyroscope feels no hands movement?

Disappointed

S R Erickson, Amazon
3 April 2015
  • Summary: Disappointed. I swim a mile (breaststroke) every day in a 25 meter pool, and have used this device for over a month now. In that time it has only once correctly counted the 64 lengths. The only positive is that it has motivated me to do the extra 3-8 lengths to make the counter read 1600m.

Awesomewatch! I've had this

Andy Newby, Amazon
19 March 2015
  • Summary: Awesome watch! I've had this watch for over a year now, so I thought I would give some feedback on it. It took a little while for me to get used to the buttons. I kept hitting the "stop" button, instead of "pause". However, once I got over that, it was a real pleasure to use.

Dies in 12 months when it's battery dies.

Amateur long distance swimmer, Amazon
22 February 2015
  • Summary: I was using it for more than a year. The measurements were relatively precise. However you had to take into account that there was usually one or to mistakes for 1 hour swimming - and unfortunately, you are not allowed to correct that in the database - even if it shows that you were swimming 25m in...

Good but have quibbles

Amazon Customer, Amazon
4 February 2015
  • Summary: Overall I'm happy with the Garmin Swim. It carries out the main purpose I bought it for - counting lengths. There are a few issues. You can customise pool size but you can only do it in meter or yard increments, so if you regularly swim in say a 26.5m pool you're a bit screwed.
