Summary: I had my i3 for over a year. It has failed me with not finding newer roads or places, but that's not it's fault. I probably put at least 20k miles on it in the short time I used it. I have a car with a very stiff suspension, so sometimes it did fall off the windshield. The thing that killed it is the solder point where the power plugs into the unit broke... This also happened on my friend's i2 (almost same unit).
Summary: This mini version of a street navigator requires a new map download any time you're traveling to a new state. Whether it is a defective or it only has a small memory, it is greatly inconvenient to have to take the software along on a trip to reload it when you're in a new location. This is specific to traveling to another. However my intended use was to take it with me when I travel and it's not worth the money for me to do so.
Cute GPS with powerful function for general people
5 June 2008
Summary: First looking was an impression on a small gps with a cute design. With 2 buttons and 1 thump wheel you can manage almost every function at easy (but not so easy). You get clear voice, nice screen like a biger garmin. What i like : Cute GPS with full function, clear voice and nice screen What i do not like : Can not PAN screen to area i want, what i have to do is to SEARCH from WHERE TO menu and save to FAVORITE.
Summary: This is a n excellent entry level gps. It has all the features you should need to get from point a to point b with little trouble. Using the three button input can get some getting use to but I must say it does not hold you back. Finding places in the search can take a little time but the info and turn by turn is always accurate. I really like this nav. unite and am actually learning many shortcuts that I have overlooked for years.
Summary: I decided to buy this GPS because i will soon be driving from missouri to texas and get lost going everywhere. This was the first item i had ever purchased on ebay and did not do much review of the product or other similar products. i am however happy with the streetpilot. One downfall is the very very very small screen on it, however, it IS big enough to see where you are going and give directions. It is a good product.
Summary: My work consist of mostly plumbing and electrical repairs in homes. When I am on a job and get called to go check another job, plenty times I didn't know where to go, so I decided to buy a gps. Just looking at the i3 I figured it wouldn't be too much, but if it could get me to the street I needed to go to I could find the house.
Summary: I bought the Garmin StreetPilot i3 because I sometimes travel out of state, my wife goes to yard sales and my oldest daughter has trouble finding her way out of town and back again. This little device is very portable and quite handy, even though it has been discontinued. The price was perfect for me and it does exactly what we need it to do.
Garmin StreetPilot i3 GPS Portable Car Navigation GPS
7 March 2008
Summary: I am a real estate agent and new to the area in which I live. I wanted a GPS that was reasonably priced and could pretty much get me from A-B without it being a huge programming hassle. I've only used the i3 a few times, but I have to say for as little as it is I am amazed at how well it works, looks, and how much info. it holds!
