"I've had two Garmins but the c580 was my favorite"
8 May 2011
Pros: easy maps, tried to take me thru some ancient, nonexisting county roads in east Kentucky! but the roads appeared on the county maps. I disagree with the "low bluetooth volume". I thought the speakers were awesome compared to the other garmins I've used.
Summary: Now you can easily receive door-to-door directions while staying on top of the weather, traffic and other localized information with the new Garmin StreetPilot c580 Auto Navigator with MSN Direct. The StreetPilot c580 comes loaded with convenient features such as hands-free calling, preloaded maps and an MP3 player, and then on top of all that provides you with dynamic content from MSN Direct.
Summary: I brought the Garmin c580 gps and it was every thing that it was hyped up to be. The product deliverd all the functions and whistles that was mention that the system says that it dose. I would recommend the garmin streetpilot c580 to any one that is looking for a relieabel gps.Accurate nevigation,bluetooh,mp3 and traffic updates. What more can one ask for!
Summary: I love all the different features it offers, very convinent fast recalculating when you take a wrong turn it is compact. I decided to buy a GPS because I had purchased one for my daughter and my sister had already had one so I always had to mapquest directions and was risking an accident looking at the driveing directions on a piece of paper. The price was more than half of what I paid for my daughters good deal. I love my GPS.
Summary: It was my first ever GPS, and also my disappointment. I supposed to bid on a Garmin c530, but was outbid every time. I stumbled on this Garmin C580, and thought it might be better. Well, I bid as hard as I could, and won it. The unit had Blue tooth; cool, I thought, despite its bulkiness. First try next day: the unit could not locate a satalite signal for 20 minutes. And when it did, only to lose it when I bypassed the tall buildings, or just rows of trees.
Summary: I love this Garmin GPS, it is the first one I own and it is small and convenient. the Garmin brings all accessory's the charger, case, and the instructions on how to download information to computer along with an MP3 system it is awesome. the only downside that some people may have is that it does not bring the face changer with colors but if you can see pass that it is a great product.
Summary: I reviewed many different brands on different sites to try to get an overall picture of the gps systems available. There were pros and cons to all as some people only will write negative reviews and these have to be scrutinized with all the good ones. However I found more positive reviews for the c550 and c580 streetpilot as compared to Tom Tom, Magellan, Harmon Kardon, and many others. For someone beginning I am very pleased with this unit.
Garmin Street Pilot series just keeps getting better
5 April 2009
Summary: .....Garmin Street Pilot series just keeps getting better...and with this top-of-the line 500 series...they probably created a near perfect unit. I bought my first GPS a few years back, and was completely satisfied with the c330 model. (Purchased at a steal in '05 for under two hundred.) But the c580 model, takes the same c330 and adds a ton of bells and whistles, for even less!
