Summary: My wife just had her (originally mine) Garmin StreetPilot 550 stolen, and I, my 340. As a musician frequently needing to find remote addresses in the greater Chicago area at night, I needed a replacement.
Summary: The first one I got lasted three weeks then stopped working. Amazon replaced it, the second one stopped working yesterday (lasted 9 months). Garmin says they have an average turn-around of two weeks for repairs (we'll see). Although I set it for the quickest route, it will opt for the shortest.
Summary: I have owned this Garmin GPS for about 3 months and it has really helped out alot. I really hate maps and I'm not the most experienced driver, but with the Garmin c530 I am driving like a pro.
Summary: We have started using c530 for a week now and here are my comments about the unit. Pro: 1. Compact and lightweight. It has no problems in staying put on the front glass and can be carried around in your pants' pockets. It is a little too big for your shirt pocket. 2. Easy to navigate.
Summary: I bought the 530 garmin and took of for the mountains, worked perfect right out of the box. dont waste your money on the more expensive models, this one will get you anywhere you want to go.Garmin is the model that is in the Smithsonian as the earliest developer of gps,go with the leader in the field...
Summary: I have been using gps devices for many years and have always relied on Garmin for top quality products. My latest is the Street Pilot c530 which has proved to be giant steps ahead of anything I have ever tried. After only a month of usage, it has become an indespensable piece of equipment.

Summary: This Garmin GPS c530 is an incredible value for the money. It really is ready to go "right out of the box". My wife surprised me with it as an early Christmas present. We went to pick up our Garmin at the UPS center, went back to the car, took it out of the box and plugged it in - in a few seconds,...
Summary: I used Garmin C330 in NY, Philadelphia and Niagara Falls. I did not have any problem. It is great GPS. Recently I bought C530 to try the TTS hack. I did TTS hack on C530 and it works great. Today I got a chance to use both them together and see the difference beside C530 announce street names. 1.
Summary: I had a friend buy this model Garmin and he raved about it. My biggest concern was, "is it easy to use"? Yes! Less than 5 minutes out of the box it was in my car and working! ANYONE can use it and I truly mean ANYONE!! I recently had to take my husband to doctor in a nearby town.
Summary: I've owned a Garmin eTrex handheld for three years and wanted to upgrade to an auto unit. I've only had the c530 for a few days but it is magic. You don't need the voice announce on street turns and it may be confusing since some streets have two names (for example, 3rd Street may be the local name...
