Summary: I bought this as a hopefully easy way to navigate around. For a very good price too! It's really easy to use the touch screen, and adjust too. I liked the simplicity and big fonts, but it's a little annoying that you are supposed to update it with maps via the computer, and it doesn't come with a...

Excerpt: when i was looking for a my first sat nav system i wanted something reasonably priced, easy to use and above all reliable. the garmin street pilot appealed to me at the time because it looked fairly straight forward and was decently priced.
Summary: This was my first introduction to sat navs having had the C510 bought as a Christmas present 3 years ago. Have to say that the unit has got me to the front doors 95% of the time having only had one or two minor issues with post codes and the actual property location.
Excerpt: This review is a summary of my experiences with the Streetpilot c510 Deluxe; I shall not bore you with the ins and outs of the specification as this is readily available on the Garmin website. I shall begin with a little section relating to background knowledge for my purchase.
Pros: Features for the price, addition of EU maps, ease of use, accuracy
Excerpt: This does what it says. It is a ceap (ish) out of the box product, that I think compares favourably in value for money with more expensive competitors. Excerpt: I bought this product when it first came out and have been impressed with it ever since. EASE OF USE The main menu has two large buttons "Where to?" and "View Map" these are very easy to use and are quite self explaintory. If you press "Where to?
Excerpt: This GPS is great and has a very acurate even if there are a few unregistered place such as where i live in Scotland. It can take you a lot of ways to your destunation and if you go of the default track it calculates the one that you are most likely to take.
Excerpt: I have used Tom Tom for several years and decided to try something different when buying a GPS for my wife. This system is extremely easy to use with good large easy to read graphics and an extensive POI databae. Using the Garmin is a doddle, simply switch the unit on and select Where to?
Pros: Easy to use, good graphics and POI database
Cons: Bit jerky, gives directions too early, not very customisable
Excerpt: After working with a friend for the day who had a Tom Tom sat nav my husband decided that they were great to have and started looking around for a satellite navigation system. The Tom Tom was a bit out of our price range so my husband and i decided upon the garmin streetpilot.
