Summary: This is a great GPS system that I bought as a gift for my daughter, She had used the one I bought for her father at Christmas and wanted one of her own. I decided to buy her the smaller version (his is the C550) because her travel needs are different. It is a great unit and works well. I must say that downloading the maps from the internet was not going well until I discovered the memory card that came with the unit was too small for the maps we wanted to download.
Summary: It is very easy to use and the directions are clear. However the instruction manual included was too basic and since the first time we used the device was on a trip we had to experiment to try to find features we needed. As we didn't have internet access to go to Garmin.com to view a more complete manual we were at a disadvantage. We never could figure out how to get an alternative route because of weather, etc.
Summary: THe next model 330 is better cause you don't have to load the software into it, it's easier, on this one you have to load it, if you want the whole country you will need an SD memory card, not big deal but the next model is easier to start. Anyway I'm MORE THAN HAPPY with it, it's spectacular! I bought two already, one for each car, and we travel a lot, it's unbelievable. It helped us to go everywhere without knowing anything about any place...
Summary: My first GPS is now 15 years old. Much has changed since the early days. I was wary of the touch screen, and was wrong to worry. The touch screen is a good way to control the device. The zones are large enough that they are easy to hit and the options are nicely logical. I learned my way around in about five minutes, then spent another twenty checking out the details. The internal battery will run the unit in the house while you check out details for your next trip.
Summary: The C320 is an excellent no frills GPS system. It does what its supposed to do 100%. It is so easy to use, even if you have no idea where you are, you will feel confident you will get to your destination. My first GPS, owned for about a month and I'm very pleased. If you miss or ignore a turn, it reroutes quickly. If you know the area your in it may have a different route than yours in mind, but it will get you there.
Summary: I do love the compact size and the ease with which I can remove, hide or transfer this GPS to another car. I'm a realtor and, so far, it seems to have nearly all of the streets (with exception of some still being built) that I've looked for. AND... I just discovered the option to change the language AND the accent of the voice and I LOVE that! She's a Britt now and not only does she speak softer, but everything just sounds better with a Brittish accent!
Summary: I moved to US very recently, all places, traffic rules every thing was new for me; who loves to drive. Reading a printed copy of a map was very difficult while you are driving. Then I have a taken decision to go for GPS. Garmin StreetPilot® c320 GPS Receiver was really a very good choice for a new comer like me. Now my family and friends can really relax and enjoy the music while I am enjoying my driving.
Summary: I bought this GPS for my 60-something year old mother as a birthday gift. I bought it specifically with her in mind because of its simplicity. Many GPS systems have a multitude of buttons, confusing menu systems and exotic options. The StreetPilot series is very simple and straightforward, and having the large screen (for a unit of its size) was a big selling point for me.
Summary: EDIT Dec 25th: One thing I want to point out is that A Gordon is wrong about the map upgrade to the latest version 7. I bought my C320 a couple of weeks ago and the map upgrade is 100% FREE. You have to go on the Garmin site and order the DVD, but it's totally free and you use your existing reg. to unlock the maps. Done deal...ok, so read below for my review. This GPS rocks for the price I paid. (I paid 399.99 with free shipping here on Amazon).
