Excerpt: We've had this sat nav for at least 6 years, probably longer. I know at the time it was the only reasonably priced one available, Tom Tom sat navs were well out of our price range but we definitely needed one as we were due to go on a long trip and Mark didn't fancy my map reading all the way from...
Pros: Easy to use, usually gets me where I want to be
Cons: Doesn't update very well, POI might as well not be on there
Excerpt: I received this item for Christmas last year and waoh, all i had to do was plug it in to the cigarette lighter turn it on then thats it. This model does not come with an mp3 player or a picture viewer but why would you need such a thing in a GPS?
Excerpt: I bought the Garmin Street pilot C310 for my boyfriend last Christmas. I am going to write a big thank you to Garmin for the total lack of blame which is now apportioned to me when my boyfriend makes a wrong turn!!!!
Pros: No more maps
Cons: May become reliant on it (already have really ! ! ! ! )
Summary: The StreetPilot 310c is excellent value for money. It is also very simple to use. I use mine in a new Citroën C4 with no need of an external aerial and with the system logging on to the satellites within seconds of turning on.
Summary: Very useful device having used it in London and to go to places outside of London. I find it very useful when travelling by taking routes that I am used to and then allowing the re-route function to work out the rest of the journey that I am unsure about.
Summary: I just bought this unit, the latest in a long line of Garmin units, and like all the others, it impresses in its build quality and ease of use. Its also very accurate and easy to use. I have used a PDA with TomTom 2 and a TomTom 500.
Summary: I'm also a first time buyer of a Sat Nav system and I settled on this one after seeing a demo of it in a High Street shop. It's not the cheapest on the market but it's far from expensive either and it's better than the really cheap ones.
Summary: My wife gave me one for Christmas. I was pleased with the way that I could use it straight from the box. It is very simple to use. One issue is that I find entering a destination address via a post code to be long winded.
