Summary: This is my second 2730 and I also still have my 2720. I like the 2720 very much but the 30 has a few features I really like. The XM potential is great but the mp3 player is just fine for music for me. It's easy to set up with playlists and it is nice when your listening to music how the driving directions cut through. The buttons are big and mine seem to respond to my gloved finger prompts.
Summary: I have another 2730 and love it. Got this one for my daughter. Have used Magellin's and lesser Garmin products but none come close to this one. It makes no sense that Garmin discontinued this product. Bad, bad, bad decision Garmin.
Summary: Great unit. In these days of the big $$ Zumo's, the 2730 is still a viable GPS for the Motorcycle folks. The only drawback is the screen is not as readable in the direct sunlight, but a small shield is avilable from the CycleGadgets website to cure this problem. The XM radio is great. The MP3 player works well, but only has space for a 800MB worth of songs. Overall, a great deal.
Summary: This the second reconditioned Garmin GPS that I have purchased through Ebay. The first, a 2610 still seems to work good now but was having some screen issues. The 2730 does have some good improvements over the 2610. First the screen is better in daylight. I use it on a motorcycle as well as in the truck. The is more readable. I also like the lay down map view as opposed to the overhead view.
Summary: I bought a Street Pilot 2720 ~5 years ago and found the more I used it, the more I used it, on the motorcycle and in the car. When I saw a factory refurbed unit available for about what the nuvi's go for, I jumped on it because the big drawback to the 2720 was no music. The 2730 gives me my music AND GPS info on the road. (I don't need or want bluetooth capability as in the 2820.
Summary: with this is an excellent GPS unit. This is the 5th GPS unit I have owned and one of the best. The picture is clear 3D, easy to navigate the controls and it has an MP3 player FM transmitter so I can play the music thru my truck or motorcycle sound system as well as receiving voice directions thru the system. The largest negative in my opinion is that there is not an external memory card so the number of songs that I can load is limited.
Summary: I have used the 2610 on my motorcycle for the past 4 years, and I also have an XM Roady on the bike. This unit will perform both functions in one waterproof unit that is perfect for a motorcycle application. I will also be moving it in the winter months to my pickup truck. Excellent unit with top of the line features at a price that can't be passed up.
Summary: This is my 4th Garmin and I'm a big fan of their products. Very easy to use, waterproof touch screen with large dual purpose buttons. The built in XM and MP3 player are very nice to have and easy to use. It's very fast to calculate routes and recalculate changes. The Traffic feature is not very usefull for my travels, but the weather maps and forecasts are especially nice to have on my motorcycle.
Summary: I purchased this unit with the intent of using it on an 800+ mile vacation. I just returned from this trip using this unit the whole way. I have no cmplaints. It did a great job. Well worth the money I paid. Even got me out of a few bad situations using the traffic feature. No regrets.
