Great Product / Horrible Customer Service

bergermatthew, Ebay
25 June 2010
  • Summary: The Garmin products are wonderfull, and the Street Pilot is a wonder choice for the motorcycle. The maps are far superior to other GPS, the screen colors and layout is wonderful. The only problem with Garmin, is their customer service. It is by far the the worse i've ever seen.

Garmin StreetPilot 2730 Portable GPS Navigator

GC, Amazon
20 August 2008
  • Summary: I am very please with the product. The only problem I have had, is that the cord broke where it secures into the back of the garmin. Thankfully, I could purchase another one.

2730, almost the best on the market

2windlass4me, Ebay
1 December 2007
  • Summary: The newer units come with bluetooth, I think with a large number of states going to "no phone calls when driving" this is a great alternitive. This one does not but it's big brother 2820 does, I guess I should have waited for the price to come down, I'm not complaining about the 2730.

Garmin 2730 GPS, the XM sucks

sprint4spd, Ebay
7 May 2007
  • Summary: The GPS works very well but I would have bought one without the XM radio. It seems like both the reception is poor and the FM modulator does not transmit very well

Garmin 2730, upper midrange performer, low price

warpigss1996, Ebay
2 April 2007
  • Summary: The Garmin Street Pilot 2730 replaced my Street Pilot 2620 which I sold to my Brother-in-Law for his sales job. BTW, he LOVES the 2620 as I did. The readily apparent improvements that the 2730 has over the 2620 is the audio interface.

Great piece of product on the go

H. Tran "HT5", Amazon
16 March 2007
  • Summary: Overall, it is great. I use the friction mount on a Toyota Sienna 2005 and the unit does not move at all. Most of the street names are clearly pronounced. The screen is really good both day and night. The signal is better than the C320 version that I tried (though they both have the same chip).

Works great but has its warts

A. Swain, Amazon
28 February 2007
  • Summary: First off, GPS is no substitute for local knowledge. Ever. GPS units have no idea of the traffic patterns in the area, and what looks like a good idea to the route calculator is not necessarily right. The good: - Reception seems to be good, but I am sure this depends on the car you have.

Works Great - Tons of Fun

B. Nice, Amazon
13 January 2007
  • Summary: I travel a lot with my job and usually have multiple destinations to hit along the way. The GPS has worked wonders, I don't know what I would have done without it. It is very accurate and very easy to use.

Traffic update/redirect saved several hours during trip from Boston to Tampa

Lennox Hoyte "Lennox", Amazon
16 December 2006
  • Summary: THe 2730 is my second Garmin unit, and my first to have the XM based real time traffic update rout adjustment feature. I have to say this update feature is nothing short of amazing.
