I reccomend this product.

scalper17, Ebay

  • Summary: Awesome gps/ Simple to use and you can actually see where your buds are if they have one also. It also has a radio so you can talk to eachother. It came in very handy as we went up north towards the Canadian border and I was able to talk to my buds that got a little ways ahead of me.

  • Summary: very useful for snowmobiling and im sure during summer time use. When a buddy gets stuck easy to pinpoint his location. So far still trying to figure out all the features, but once figured out should be a very good device.

Radio and GPS

Cheryl Embrey, Amazon
18 January 2014
  • Summary: I think this is going to be a great help in a lot of ways. Haven't really used it yet but am anxious to do so. The only thing I don't really like is the back light isn't very bright. Other than that am anxious to start using it to the full capacity.

  • Summary: well designed and multi-purposed for handheld navigation especially when you have multiple users in the filed. The radio coupled with GPS and background maps provide a good combination.

Rugged simple instrument but expensive and dropped by Garmin

BACbKA nynKuH, Amazon
27 December 2013
  • Summary: Good for outdoor that is why I had to have another one to replace the retired from abuse its predecessor. It has a very simple no-brainer operation. Good solid water splash protected housing. Backlit but not bright to disclose you in a dark display. Unfortunately support completely dropped by Garmin: no software for other than 32 bit Windows PC having serial port, and you will have to hunt the MapSource maps for it. You cannot connect it to USB.

Good GPS, wish the radio was a bit better

Zach Brady, Amazon
23 December 2013
  • Summary: The GPS works very well overall. I like the functionality. The two things that I wish were better were the battery life and the radio function. The radio seems to cut out when you are a half mile or more away from the other user. Granted, all my use is within the woods so that may be affecting the signal also.

Do NOT waste your money on these toys.

Lauren Drouillard, Amazon
26 November 2013
  • Summary: These radios are really horrible. We use them hunting in northern Michigan and the range (in the long-range channels) is pathetic and worthless. They are frustrating and not worth the bother. Plus they chew through batteries very quick - less than 2 hours of use is what we experienced.

lighting

james apple, Amazon
13 July 2013
  • Summary: The screen is small and when you try to lighten the back ground you also lighten the word. So what good is it if you can't separate the words from the background.
