Without current maps, useless in a car or motorcycle.

don_nakano, Ebay

  • Summary: Garmin no longer supports street maps for this GPS. You will be using maps from 2004. This GPS can use other types of maps, such as topo, marine, or world maps, but will not function with NT-style maps from Garmin. DO NOT BUY THIS GPS for use on a motorcycle or car!

Garmin Quest Sat Nav Review

Roddy Justice, Unbeatable
18 June 2005
  • Excerpt: I bought this Garmin Sat Nav 5 years ago and it has not once let me down. Really great equip. The only downside is that you cannot find places using postcode which is a nuisance as most people give you postcodes to find a place. The street number and name has to be put in first and then it confirms which postcode is the one you want. Not nice if you only have a street name and no number.
  • Pros: Reliable, never let me down in five years of constant use.
  • Cons: Does not seem to work on postcodes
