Summary: I had been using the Garmin nüvi 200W GPS for many years and LOVED it. It became my lifeline in the car, and I was thrilled with its operation. However, major road construction occurred near my house and suddenly my map was out of date.
Summary: Having owned a lesser Garmin model (which I gave to my dad when I bought this), I am very familiar with the wonderful functionality of the Garmin Nüvi. I decided to upgrade to this model because I wanted to have "hands-free" cellphone capability (bluetooth) with on-screen caller ID.
Summary: This device had the specs I neeeded but a couple of flaws forced me to turn it back to Garmin. I love how well it integrates with the phone. You have access to phone stats, phone numbers, and no need to program the numbers - they are queried directly from your phone.
Summary: I purchased this a little over a year after getting the nuvi 760, which I loved. I find the 885T to be a great upgrade from the earlier unit, however. The 885T adds just those little extras that I always missed in the 760, such as information about actual driving speed in addition to the speed...
Summary: I'm giving the 885 a 3 star rating (only because of the random freezing), but I'm giving Amazon a 5 star rating (because that's the highest I can choose here) for their service. I treated myself to the 885 at the beginning of Dec. 09.
Summary: Potential 885T purchasers beware! I have been using Garmin GPS products for many years, including mobile and marine units, and still believe Garmin to be the best provider of GPS for most consumers. When I purchased the 885T unit, I had high expectations.
4000 mile road trip and this GPS would not stop freezing.

Summary: This is my first GPS not including ones found in previous cell phones. I bought it specifically to use during a 4000+ road trip tour. I run my own record label and needed a GPS unit to get us from hotel to venue to hotel etc.
Summary: As a outside salesman from southeastern Pennsylvania making multiple stops per day, I have been a heavy user of GPS systems for 6 years now. This is my 3rd Garmin. (I upgrade when enough new features come out, and give my old ones to family members.
Summary: Even when the Nuvi885 works, it's a poor unit: --response is sluggish when typing in an address or a name, so sluggish you'll retype a number or letter because nothing happened and then two will appear on the screen and you have to backspace. Frustrating.
Summary: I've read good and bad reviews for this product, so I was a little hesitant to buy it, but it was the only one I could find that had bluetooth and the ability to output to my stereo aux input (I didn't want to use an FM transmitter).
