Pros: hardware is high spec but poor quality components 2 USB Inputs and ability to read direct from a USB powered USB device (ie Passport) Bluetooth when working is extremely clear thanks to the external bluetooth microphone
Cons: Don't honour any warranty/offer no support. Fault rate for me was 30% of 30 systems purchased, this is costly and a headache. Linda and Wendy are too busy for service and will reply to a problem after 1 month,if at all. Interface is common on eBay.
Summary: Unit defective . packaged haphazaredly. Duplication of some materials and missing on some other materials .Poor product support documentation. Service department reccommended I go to the manufacturer to have unit repaired.
Summary: This unit is not available any longer, which is a good thing. If you're looking to buy one used, run away as fast as you can. It's a HORRIBLE unit. The CPU is horribly underpowered for what they are trying to accomplish with this unit. In many instances the unit will simply freeze up trying to figure out what to do next and becomes unresponsive (but may eventually continue).
Summary: I have had the 880 for 2 years now and thought i would write a review to steer people away from this product. I would imagine the whole Nuvi line is based on the same specs (cpu, internals) so this would apply to the whole line of Nuvi products. Overall i rate this product a 1 star and would not recomend it to anyone. I have loved Garmin products in the past especially the street pilot series which i still use over the nuvi series. This Nuvi line is of poor quality.
Summary: Got the unit for my mother in law for christmas and spent two days trying to set it up. 1> The voice function does not work well. Kept trying to send us to a hospital 2> Even the most recent maps are not up to date, whole shopping malls missing that have been there for years. 3> Instructions for turns come only when you're right up on them. 4> MSN after two days could not update nor work the right way.
Summary: I have had a Garmin 2610 since 2004. I decided to buy this unit for my wife. We both could not get the system to understand the numbers we were speaking for the address and I had to hand type them in. It was also hit and miss on names and other voice recognition tasks. I have a 2007 Highlander Hybrid so the car is quiet.
Also, something as simple as the MPH does not show up when using the route feature.
