Summary: I am returning my second Nuvi 775T. The first one was a previously returned unit that was sold to me by another retailer (i didn't know it was a returned unit until I registered it). There were four problems with it: 1. It froze on route calculation. I had to do a total reset (erase all user data) to fix this. 2. After I hung up using the blue tooth feature, there were no sound. Didn't happen every time, but if it did, I had to turn it off and on to get my sound back. 3.
Pros: Easy Menus, Easy To Read, Large Screen
Cons: Acquires Satellites Slowly, Keyboard stickey, Short Battery Life
Summary: Have been using around town. Auto routes not always fastest way but they get you there. Map software for PC not nearly as friendly as google maps. Device easy to use. Bluetooth works ok with iphone.
Pros: Custom routes, Easy Menus, Easy To Read, Easy To Set Up, Eu na maps, Large Screen, Simple Controls
Summary: What I like about it is I was able to use it at europe and north america. What I dont like about it is the loss of signal sometimes when transferring to another country. It crashes when your in another country and chose a destination from another country and there is no reset button. I have a hard time fixing it.
Summary: My Garmin GPS Street Pilot c550 was stolen, so I decide to buy more advanced model Garmin nuvi 775T. Its preloaded with European and North American maps, life time traffic subscription and all other bells and whistles same as very popular nuvi 760. Unfortunately my new GPS arrived with factory defect: Its very quiet even with volume adjusted to 100%.
