Summary: Caution: Battery May Blow Up In Your Face! Worst unit ever. Do Not Buy. Besides, you can get a brand new unit for less money that has better features. Don't waste your time or money on this Garmin Nuvi 765T GPS Unit.
Summary: I purchased this in November 2009. Less than a year later, the unit wouldn't charge and was unusable. Garmin did replace the bracket mount for free and the unit was working again. Fast forward 6 months, the touch screen is not working (unless I use a pen cap or stylus borrowed from my son's Nintendo DS...what a joke), and the unit is again not charging and unusable. This thing is going in the garbage and my next GPS will not be a Garmin. $250 down the drain.
Summary: I purchased mine as a Garmin factory refurb. It looked new when it arrived. The first problem I had was the battery. It would last about 15 minutes on a full charge. Garmin did replace the battery but it cost me the time and return shipping. The second problem is the calibration of the screen. It does have a calibration routine you can do but it doesn't help.
Summary: Garmin, why'd you go and change a good thing? People who have to park their cars on the public street increasingly mount their GPS units on dashboard (not window suction cup) mounts. We do this because when they see suction cups, our cars become easy target for desperate thieves who will break a window just to steal a measly GPS unit. This happened to me, and my old GPS unit was stolen, which meant I had to purchase a newer GPS unit.
Summary: I have upgraded from c340 to 765T. But i did a huge mistake. C340 without the gadgets is very good performer and it does what an GPS needs to do. But 765t reboot itself during driving also who needs junction, street view etc... Last week after an firmware upgrade, 765t lost its speaker, opened a case with garmin no use (warrenty expired), so i trashed 765t and using c340. will not buy garmin again, looking on other gps now..
Summary: the gps was use and should be new condition ,The box for the gps wasn't sealed and a lot of finger print and the bag was smash and the product was use , but in the end the amazom rely they take care of it thank you for all the team from amazon,
Summary: I bought this GPS 14 months ago and the car cable just died on me. The cable doesn't connect properly to the cradle which causes the power supply to be interrupted. This results in the unit to not charge and therefore run on battery power at a much lower volume. I called customer service and they told me that the cable is no longer in stock and that anyway I would have to fork over about $100 even if it were in stock since my item is out of warranty by 2 months.
Summary: We have only had this device for a little over a year and it will no longer charge with the car charger, and only holds a charge via the USb for about 30 minutes. I contacted Garmin and they had me reset everything but that did nothing for the charge problem. I have been going back and forth on E-mail with them and now they tell me that I have past the 1 yr warranty and will have to pay $99 to have it fixed! A new one is only $229! Poor quality, poor customer service!
