Great product have one in every vehicle I own and plan for more
10 March 2013
Summary: I have owned 3 of these units and all of them have had issues with the Bluetooth. Aside from this, all the units have had great tracking ability, accurate directions and the FM transmitter is a great feature for long road trips. Not only does it allow you to receive your direction over your radio, but it also has a built in MP3 player as well. The MP3 player and FM transmitter are the main reasons for my purchases.
Summary: I almost like my Nuvi 260 better. This one has more options, but it is less detailed with maps and the FM transmitter has poor range, and does not even work in my wifs car unless I put it in the middle of the windshied, whish is illegal in our Stste. So its okay, but not great.
If your original automobile traffic cable seems to no longer work...
Blue Caribe, Amazon
12 September 2012
Summary: The short version... If your car charger (whether it's a traffic receiver or not) doesn't work after changing the fuse then try replacing the ball-joint connector. Another Amazon vendor sells the same piece if Garmin won't provide one for you. Look up: ASIN: B001N2789K. Go figure, they've been selling them since 2008 to a lot of happy customers who had the same issue as I did only they knew what they needed to correct the problem. The rant...
Summary: My 765t works great. Communicates with my Sena headset. Good visibility. Easy to use and decent features. I would recommend. Convenient use with the RAM mounts. (I first bought a 3590 and that would not communicate with the Sena headset, so I returned it to the local store.) I do need to say / warn others. And, I will admit I am new to online buying.
Summary: This unit replaced a stolen one. It may make sense to use the activation code to prevent use unless the code is entered. Garmin will transfer the lifetime updates if you give them a new unit number and police report but they will still allow the unit to be updated until you do. If they had to change this unit I'd like to see them offer an option that requires updates at least every year.
Summary: Please do yourself a favor don't buy GPS from this company, I purchased the NUVI 765 from them and took good care it of this GPS..never left in the car bc of i was concerned having problems with weather also im the only person that used it. no way a GPS battery goes bad in 2 years.
Good GPS unit for those who like to program specific routes.
2 July 2012
Summary: Seems to have most if not all of the features I was looking for. I like to tour backroads in the countryside and was looking for a unit that could handle multi-destination routes programmed on the computer and sent to the GPS. So far this unit does what I ask. The battery life is somewhat optimistic in the literature though. Garmin states up to 8 hours, but I am lucky if I get 3.
Summary: Sure it has some minor annoyances, but they all do. My biggest reasons for selecting this unit were: 1. It has bluetooth 2. It has 3.5mm aux output 3. It has an MP3 player 4. It has an SD card slot (full size - not microSD) 5. Lifetime traffic (not as impressed by this) As a frequent traveller, I am in a different rental car every week. This unit affords me the ability to always have a nice bluetooth connection for my phone over the car stereo (via the aux output).
