Summary: Good: 1. Got me where I was going mostly 2. Pretty easy to use, if you want to get somewhere Bad: 1. Battery life never lasts more than half an hour, once not plugged into vehicle. Very poor. 2. Maps needed to be updated the day I got it. Major freeway in my area was missing. 3. Route sometimes was wrong. 4. Not so good on the support. Might buy another garmin, but maybe not.
Summary: I can't in good conscience give this product a 5-star rating because I feel like it was not a good investment. The maps are not updated and we have to pay an additional fee for a supposed lifetime update of maps - but clearly, I'm skeptical of trusting this 'lifetime' deal. It seems like a GPS unit should come with updates for free on a fairly regular basis (annually at least) and the features are what you should pay for.
Summary: I am not sure if it just sheer coincidence or not but I seem to find this model lacking in endurance. This is the second model I have of the same unit and they both suffer from the same problem. I have the unit in my car and park during the days in a covered parking deck. The problem I encounter with the units is that they will invariable freeze up when entering the passcode. This was the problem with the first unit and so I had it replaced.
Summary: Unit is very similar to the orignal I bought almost 5 years ago. Don't remember the model. However, this one speaks the street names and is Geo Caching ready. BUT...... I often have to reset it because the voice drops or the map stalls.
Summary: This item was PIN locked and OI only need the LCD display .MY LCD display was locking up.So I purchased this Item and use the screen part of it and cost me 80$ less to send it to Garmin.Make sure GPS does not get dropped if you drop it screen may not work after been dropped.
Summary: I buy this item because it wide screem and spoken street name, but when I use it yesterday it didnot have the function spoken street name. The detailed item informatiom also write it have this function.
Summary: it works but I believe too expensive for the features offered. delivery was not especially responsive, and the installation instructions difficult to read. I did need to purchase a third party platform for installation on the dash board.
Summary: The Garmin nuvi I boought for my fiance` was a great deal but there was nno owners manual. We bought as is with just the GPS and a car charger. I bought other things like a mounting bracket and an antenna but no manual. I think it is poor customer service for them not to provide a manual when someone has never used one before.
Summary: I am concerned about the bidding process. I had bid $124.99 and then added a maximum bid of 131.99. At the count down it said my bid of $124.99was the high bid but when my payment was figured they used my maximum bid of 131.99. My understanding as that I only had to pay for my high bid of 124.99not my maximum bid. Please explain.
