Summary: This is an excellent device. I bought one 3 years ago when they first came out ($800) and have used it extensively. I bought several extra mounts and power cords to transition them easily to any of our vehicles.
Summary: Easy to use and gives excellent directions. Original unit failed right near the end of the warranty period. Technical Service tried to help me fix it but I had to send it in to be replaced. Had new refurbished unit within a week. Has a wealth of information in it including elevations.
Summary: I love this thing. Its great that it'll give you nearby restaurants, grocery stores, ETC.BIG thing- before you prgram the destination, it gives the exact address w/ phone number-so you can call in a reservation while en route(awesome feature)!! its easy to use and usually gets great signal.
Summary: I really love my nuvi. It's sleek and love the wide screen design. The features are terrific, including the hands-free calling. You can even use the device or the phone feature through your car stereo system. I had 2 other Garmins before this one.
Summary: Well I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 660 and to my surprise it was a 680 instead. First of all it was small and easy to use. It booted up in less than a minute. The display is nice and clear easy to read. It was nice that it knew to day and night as well.
Summary: I have used a few dozen different GPS models; everything from the simplest hand-held, marine designs, vehicle versions, rugged military models and even high-end custom-made computer versions. This is most likely one of the easiest and complete consumer GPS interfaces out there.
Summary: I did a ride along with a local police agency last year. One of the officers had a garmin nuvi 660 receiver and loved it. During the shift on down times I received a detailed demo of this device. I decided I had to have one. When it came time to order I noticed the 6xx series has been discontinued.
Summary: Despite that it is "last year's" technology AND it is a factory refurbished unit, I couldn't be more pleased. Mapping is quick and very accurate, satellite acquisition is fast, MSN traffic and weather info quite helpful on long trips, and Bluetooth works great in rental cars.
