Europe SD Card not Compatible! Bad software! Bad Customer Service!
20 August 2014
Summary: First problem: The audio turn-by-turn directions didn't work. Required call to customer support to resolve. Next problem: Plugged in an SD card (brand new from Garmin, of course) for Europe maps. An error message says that that maps are corrupted. Another call to Customer Support concluded that the SD card maps are corrupted. (This is a brand new, factory sealed SD card.) I bought another new, factory sealed card and exactly the same thing happened.
The giant screen is very easy to read either night or day

Summary: Been using this GPS for severla months now and the new features added by Garmin made it easier to enter an address or find a point of interest. The giant screen is very easy to read either night or day.
Summary: Instead of paying through the nose to update maps on my old Magellan GPS, I figured I could put the money towards a newer unit with life time map updates. I'm very pleased with the Garmin Nuvi 66LMT. It has bells and whistles I never had with my old unit. I really like the up to date road delay reports. I cross the Blue Water Bridge (Canadian US Border) a few times every month. This gives me a heads up on the delays to expect when I get there.
Summary: Nice 6 inch size, easy to use and I got the life traffic & map updates. I also love the bag mounting tool that I just toss on the dash and it seems to hold on no matter what. The system of finding places to eat, gas, etc seems great so far. It is so much nicer than my old Tom Tom. My son has the 5 inch model and works well too. Love the big split maps for the junctions, bridges, etc and gives me great directions on where I need to be to get to my destination.
Summary: We had been loyal to TomTom but recently started looking elsewhere when a new TomTom we purchased this last year gave us multiple problems. Did some research and landed on this Garmin model. Very happy with the purchase. The screen resolution is great (happy we selected this model for the better resolution) and the response time of the unit to flip between menus is excellent. The directions and mapping is equivalent, possibly better, than TomTom.
Summary: it's much better than some new cars' navigation; it also have information on the speed limit, altitude, time of arrival at destination, distance to the destination, and more ... i have no complain....
