Summary: Our son joined the military so we've been traveling a lot to attend graduations, rescue him from base on liberty, etc. We were using out phones to navigate. What a pain in the neck. So, I finally broke down and bought a GPS. Glad I did. I settled on the six inch.
Summary: my old 1450LMT Garmin has been very reliable and has done an excellent job, but the screen was showing some lines that didn't belong and was several years old, so I thought the 66LMT would replace it only with a larger screen.
The instructions are always very clear & it's easy to plug in the destination

Summary: I replaced my old TOM TOM unit with this one & moved into the 21st century. The instructions are always very clear & it's easy to plug in the destination. The only thing that isn't consistent is the traffic updates. I have hit traffic in areas where nothing is reported on the GPS.
Summary: Love it. I will update if I find anything I don't like. I'm glad I avoided extra features like blue tooth and hands free calling. My last one had those features and I felt it's better to have a gps that is a gps. Only so much room in there for all that circuitry.
Summary: I like the large display easily seen night or day. But only has QWERTY keyboard input, and not being a touch typist I have problems finding some letters. When putting in an address it searches too large of an area and take extra time. Also pronunciation on some streets, etc.
Summary: What a step down from the prior three Garmins I've bought before (all 5" screens). Garmin has limited the selection of data windows to a max of two. I have been used to four (time of arrival, miles to go, current time, and one other?! So sad!
Summary: Coming from the 1490lmt, this is a great upgrade. Much faster processing, satellite reception, screen mapping and menu navigation. Only con is the shape, not rectangular/flat, along with the size.
Summary: Large screen, quick thinking unit, but a few negatives.... SUPER slippery case, you will drop it.... front rim has the stupid shiny black edge on the bottom, the mount that clips to the back is probably the worst design that Garmin has put out, battery life is measured in seconds, when not plugged...
Summary: This is my third Garmin GPS and after a month of using it I definitely approve. The 6" screen is a big step up from my previous 5" screen. The boot up time and search times are very fast. And, contrary to what another reviewer said, you CAN display elevation on the screen as you drive.
