Summary: I replaced my old TOM TOM unit with this one & moved into the 21st century. The instructions are always very clear & it's easy to plug in the destination. The only thing that isn't consistent is the traffic updates. I have hit traffic in areas where nothing is reported on the GPS.
Summary: Love it. I will update if I find anything I don't like. I'm glad I avoided extra features like blue tooth and hands free calling. My last one had those features and I felt it's better to have a gps that is a gps. Only so much room in there for all that circuitry.
Summary: I like the large display easily seen night or day. But only has QWERTY keyboard input, and not being a touch typist I have problems finding some letters. When putting in an address it searches too large of an area and take extra time. Also pronunciation on some streets, etc.
Summary: Coming from the 1490lmt, this is a great upgrade. Much faster processing, satellite reception, screen mapping and menu navigation. Only con is the shape, not rectangular/flat, along with the size.
Summary: This is my third Garmin GPS and after a month of using it I definitely approve. The 6" screen is a big step up from my previous 5" screen. The boot up time and search times are very fast. And, contrary to what another reviewer said, you CAN display elevation on the screen as you drive.
Summary: I like a lot of the features of the 66LMT, but I am not used to the fact that I need to change cities when I want to enter an address. My old Garmin allowed me to enter the address including city and state. This "feature" needs some getting used to.
