Summary: I bought this for my boyfriend and it worked okay for nearly 2 years. By that time, the unit didn't hold a charge at all so it had to be continuously plugged in or you'd have to plug it in and restart it. Also, the maps got very out of date and it would have been expensive to upgrade them - I thought it would be better to get a new gps, but my bf kept using it until its last dying breath, which was rather painful since it seemed like every time he took it on a trip with...
Summary: IT IA NOT THAT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT, I WOULD RECOMMEND A HARD CASE. DUE TO THE FACT THAT IF THIS IS IN YOUR GLOVE COMPARTMENT ENCASED IN THE CASE, AND YOU LAY SOMETHING HEAVY ON IT ACCIDENTLY, IT COULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE GPS.THANK YOU
Summary: this is a very basic case , all man made materials , for a 1.00 it is what you pay for , will make a good dust cover thats about it . it has no belt clip , no clasp to secure unit in case , will help prevent scratches thats about all , not excited about it , not a must have item , a home charging cord would be a better value
Summary: It wasn't worth it to buy the case for the gps... the case won't hold the cord and the holders that come with the gps. I found a heavy, clear plastic carrrying case that I had laying around home that works much, much better.
Summary: I have had the Garmin Nuvi 660 for several years, that's the good news. I must say for quite a while it performed fairly well. However, now that I have paid for the life time map updates, the unit has declined to the point that it is unusable. First problem was that the battery life was awful. The battery declined very quickly such that it was impossible to use the unit without having it on its cradle. That rendered using it while walking impossible.
Summary: I bought the Garmin Nuvi 660 years ago from Amazon (2005 or so). I don't remember if I ever wrote a review. I just (for the 3rd time since owning it) updated the software tonight. This excruciatingly painfully slow process (on a DSL line it took nearly 3 hours and then more than an hour to update the unit) is so maddening that I probably will not keep this unit much longer. That is belly-ache number one.
except it not much good for this either as it is the wrong shape

Summary: I foolishly did not properly check the dimensions of this carrying case before I ordered it, and it turned out to be much larger than I had expected. It is described as being a carrying case suitable for the Garmin Edge cycle computer, but it is much too large for this and it is also too thin to offer any substantial protection. It is of a size more conducive to holding a larger car sat nav, except it not much good for this either as it is the wrong shape!
