Summary: I read a lot of the reviews before buying and found them helpful. Most of the pros and cons are already stated but a few things that I would've liked to know ahead of time are: Pros - Bought this for $200 new on Amazon and to get any other Garmin that has Text to Speech and the other features that...
Summary: i drive for Eco Cycle in Boulder CO. most of the places we go are already known. some arent. there is always something new in the world of recycling and always a new place to go get the stuff. there was one time i was so lost that i had to call the customer to come and find "me".
Summary: I have just upgraded from my current Nuvi 350. The 650 is basically the same as my 350, except for that it's a wide screen. Upgrading also allowed me to get the newest MAP update free (2008 map came pre-installed and when registering my 650, I was given the unlock code for the new 2009 map).
Summary: This is a very useful and easy to use navigation tool. All you basically have to do is type your destination in it takes care of the rest. I also like the touch and drag feature. This helps familiarize you with the surrounding area of your destination.
Summary: The Garmin Nuvi 650 is a very impressive, well designed, compact unit that features a bright, large 4.3" display screen, excellent 3D map viewing, and accurate voice directions. Touchscreen response and rerouting are fast.
Summary: I strongly recommend this product for people with the same requirements as me: just a navigation unit. I specifically did not care for the hands-free option or radio transmitter option - just a good navigation unit. Hands-free is great, but I don't want to have this in the car all the time.
Summary: Excelent unit for the car. Wide screen, bright colors. I haven't used the travel assistant much, or the mp3 player at all, but this unit can stand on its own as a rock solid GPS unit. I used two other units in the last year and this puts both of them to shame.
Summary: I normally don't write reviews, although in this case, it's worth my time. I will caveat this review by stating up front that this is my first GPS unit and I have nothing else to compare it to. Well, we've had this Garmin Model for about 8 months and LOVE it.
Summary: Overall, I have been impressed with the Nuvi line. I have had three different Nuvi's and a Magellan 760. I returned the Magellan 760 and bought the Nuvi 350, but later returned it for the 360 because of the Bluetooth, which did not work well for me. Finally, I've settled on the Nuvi 650.
