Summary: I read a lot of the reviews before buying and found them helpful. Most of the pros and cons are already stated but a few things that I would've liked to know ahead of time are: Pros - Bought this for $200 new on Amazon and to get any other Garmin that has Text to Speech and the other features that...
Summary: i drive for Eco Cycle in Boulder CO. most of the places we go are already known. some arent. there is always something new in the world of recycling and always a new place to go get the stuff. there was one time i was so lost that i had to call the customer to come and find "me".
Summary: I have just upgraded from my current Nuvi 350. The 650 is basically the same as my 350, except for that it's a wide screen. Upgrading also allowed me to get the newest MAP update free (2008 map came pre-installed and when registering my 650, I was given the unlock code for the new 2009 map).
Summary: This is a very useful and easy to use navigation tool. All you basically have to do is type your destination in it takes care of the rest. I also like the touch and drag feature. This helps familiarize you with the surrounding area of your destination.
Summary: The Garmin Nuvi 650 is a very impressive, well designed, compact unit that features a bright, large 4.3" display screen, excellent 3D map viewing, and accurate voice directions. Touchscreen response and rerouting are fast.
Summary: This is an excellent product. Easy and intuitive to use right out of the box. Size and sensitivity of screen very nice. Only reservation I have is that it does not give one enough options for route, i.e. all highway, no highway, fastest, shortest, etc.
Summary: For the most part, we are satisfied with this unit. This is the first GPS system we have purchased. We used it recently to travel across the United States. No matter where we traveled from a large city to a small town in the middle of nowhere, the GPS unit was able to find where we were and give us...
Summary: I live in the suburbs outside of Washington DC. THis is the only navigation systems I have owned and used so I cannot compare it to others. The Garmin has worked very well. I don't know if it always takes the fastest route, but they have all gotten us there without hassle.
Summary: I strongly recommend this product for people with the same requirements as me: just a navigation unit. I specifically did not care for the hands-free option or radio transmitter option - just a good navigation unit. Hands-free is great, but I don't want to have this in the car all the time.
