  • Summary: I bought a refurbished GPS for the first time. I have never had a problem with any Garmins I have bought in the past. This one only lasted 5 weeks before crashing. I just found out this product only has a 15 day return policy. It's worthless and I'm out all the money.

  • Summary: I have not been able to even USE this product yet. I have been in contact with Garmin - - -and they are honestly TRYING to resolve the issue with this unit. It's been 3 weeks, so far we are unable to receive maps to navigate with. When it is up and running - - -I will do another review. For now - - -the product has not been a benefit at all.

  • Summary: I have owned a Tom-Tom GPS which has worked admirably with my RV. I drive a 40" Class A Winnebago Motor Home with a 2010 Saturn in Tow. I got tired of paying for updates of maps, so I decided to purchase a new device with lifetime updates. Based on a poor review of the Tom-Tom, I decided I would try the Garmin. I took delivery in Columbia, SC. I tested the unit WITHOUT the Motor Home, and it selected a route that took me through downtown Columbia.

  • Summary: I'm not sure where WalMart sources their GPS refurbs but, when the keyboard is often unresponsive or displays an item not typed, it is clear there is no quality control at the refurbishing company.

  • Summary: The unit looked brand new but once you got to a certain point it would freeze. I had no problems returning the product to the store.

  • Summary: Garmin said this was refurbished as it did not work out of the box. Its would reboot for a little while and quit working. Some time it would show the map location and some time not. Took back to Walmart for full refund. Quiston in mind is do they test the thing after refurbish them ?????

  • Summary: other GPS units and online mapping solutions provide significantly better routes
  • Pros: gets you to your destination
  • Cons: gets you to your destination using the worst possible route. Updating software or changing 'avoidences' in settings does not make this unit route smarter. It will always tell you to get off the highway and take the slow residential stoplight ridden roads (or dirt country backroads) instead of cruising on the highway that is frequently parallel tot he route it chooses

  • Summary: My wife and I needed a GPS unit for a vacation planned over the next month. I ended up purchasing two of the refurbished units within a 2 weeks period and had to return both units the next day. The pads were very unresponsiveness and inaccurate. I would have to press the key pad several times to bring up a letter or number, and at times, it would bring up the wrong symbol. I love the idea of a low price, and Walmart allowed me to return both units for a cash refund.
