"This is the most worthless Garmin GPS I have ever seen."
Pros: It turns on when you plug it in.
Cons: It can not find any town that does not have a Zip Code which means that there are hundreds if not thousands of small towns it can not find, because when you try to type the town name in it does not show it! Points of Interest are VERY limited also.
Summary: Got this unit to replace my nuvi1450. Got it for only $10 more than the Map update on the 1450 would have cost and it has lifetime maps. The display is great and the construction seems a lot heftier than the 1450. Have not put it to the test yet, but plan to take a road trip this summer that will use most of its features. Other units may be easier to program and use, but the many features of this unit make it an outstanding unit.
Pros: Easy to use, easy to enter in new addresses. There is only a single button on the frame, power, everything else is touch screen.
Cons: Perhaps it's a newby thing but when you tap and drag on the screen while in route (I thought it would move the screen so I can see further forward on the route) it thinks you want to change your destination to where you tapped.
Summary: I love this product with a few exceptions. I notice there's glitches on the devise. For example, I tested it by going to walmart, the direction to there was perfect, but on the way back, there was a section of the main road wasn't even there and it got me turning off the main road. Again, going to walmart was perfect but come back wasn't correct. I was on the main road there and back. Another glitch, when I'm at home, the car icon doesn't show the correcti destination.
Summary: Does the job. The specs on this one did not say only the lower 48 states. It did not even say U.S only. Only cuz I thot it would include Canada. But for most people who dot drive out of america, this is a fine product.
Summary: I purchased this GPS for my husband who does window cleaning and has to travel every day. The GPS definitely does what it's supposed to the only complaint would be that it sometimes takes you there in a roundabout way, adding miles and time to your trip. This was a quick purchase and we are pleased!
Summary: I am replacing the 3.5' model that I've had for about 2 years. It still works but didn't include the free map upgrades. When I saw this at such a good price I couldn't pass it up. Now we have one for each vehicle. The newer Garmin has a keyboard that is easier to enter addresses and I like the lane indicator split screen. You get advance warning about exit ramps so you have time to change lanes if necessary.
