Summary: The traffic and speed limit icons are really handy. The warning when overweight on restricted road is a little annoying but may be neccessay. The lane for exit and refresh speed are excellent. (recalculates quick maybe 4 seconds)
Summary: I drive a truck locally in souther ca. and it works great. I love the lane assist and traffic alert. It helped me get around san diego traffic. Lane assits is a big help around the L.A. freeway. Overall good device to by. Dont know how it is over ther road.
Summary: I can't imagine being a Tractor-Trailer driver W/O some kind of GPS. I had a cheapy for cars for over a year and glad I did. In upgrading and evaluating this one I concluded it has saved me more than a dollar a day in aggrivation, missed turns and getting lost. So it earns it price back in a year.
Summary: Great product man. My dad's a trucker so it comes in handy for him. He loves it and he follows it. So yeah great for going to Texas (from California) and back and it gives him accurate directions.
Summary: If you operate a CMV and don't have a regular route, get this Garmin! Put in your weight, height, length and width; tell it if you are hauling hazmat or not and it will route you there. Lets you know about weigh stations, sharp curves, narrow bridges.
Summary: This is the second one I bought the first was eaten by my dog, But even though this is one of the pricier units if you drive an 18 wheeler this is money well spent as it has truck routing as well as overall dimension routing also can be enabled for hazmat routing. as I said money well spent.
Excerpt: We've loved having this GPS! There are lots of great features like adding stop-offs and great voice options. It is easy to use and set up and we have had no problems. Be warned, though, that when it is cloudy this (or any!) GPS will have trouble locating satellites.
