Summary: I brought the garmin gps because im a trucker thats delivers fuel additive to costco fuel stations and have to get routes and directions on my own .what i love about the nuvi t465 is the hazmat route and truck restriction route to assist you routeing to some stores located in some residence communitys.what i dont like about the nuvi t465 is that some highways are merged sometimes is not clear which highway to take which can cause you to get alittle fix on the nuvi gps...
Summary: This GPS is great for the RV owner. It can be programed with your RV's dimensions for avoidance of low clearances and sharp turns. It is a very good value for all that it can do. In the past we have been guided by our GPS systems onto dirt roads, under bridges with 12 foot clearances and into tight city roads. With this unit, these problems are eliminated. The only negative would be the small screen.
Summary: The nuvi 465T does not come with an operating manual. It is not as easy to navigate compared to other trucking GPS units. It does Have some interesting features like posted speed limit, however the speed limit is for cars. does not show the speed limit for trucks, where split speeds are located, such as Tennessee and Michigan. The traffic alert is a nice function when you can get a transmission. It shows most aproaching weigh stations. It shows upcoming windy roads.
Until now Garmin nuvi 465T is the best for big rigs.

Summary: There are not too many GPS receivers available in the market specifically for eighteen wheelers . I used GPS receiver by worldnev, it got lots of issues including some serious wrong directions; of course awful for a big rig driver. Compared to that, Garmin nuvi 465T is far better in all respect. It allows specifying the height, length of the truck as a whole and accordingly avoids the low bridges and also having lots of other very vital options needed for big rigs.
Summary: I use nuvi 5000 for about 4 years now - LOVE IT... I'm starving to get something like 465 T but it is to small. If 465 T software was in nuvi 5000 I would buy it today with no hesitation. Although , there is few things where Garmin makes huge mistake... The amount of Favorites in nuvi 5000 is 3000. That's not enough. 465 has only 1000 - and that is RIDICULOUS.
Summary: I bought the Garmin Nuvi 465T for my husband who is a truck driver. This has been a Godsend for him getting to and from his destinations; it keeps him on the route best suited for big trucks and keeps him off roads not allocated to a semi. He has only had a couople of instances where it wouldn't take an address and he has had to call the company for directions. I recommend this product for any driver who needs an extra set of eyes out there on the road.
Summary: There is a true need and market for a truck friendly GPS. This GPS should be marketed to RV owners and toy hauler owners alike. With the tecnology available today there should be no limit to the detail that a quality GPS could afford. Why are there so many limitations to these tools??? The Garmin 465T is by far the overall best that I have seen of the five or 6 available. The trouble with all GPS manufactures is the inability to adjust for the needs of the driver.
Summary: I have a 18 wheeler over the road truck my son drives,he loves the GPS unit.He said it does all he expected and more.My son drives in large cities and the GPS gets him from stop to stop with ease.
