Summary: We drive a 40' motor home thus the reason for wanting this particular GPS. On the first trip we stayed off course more than on course, the unit would sometimes make turns and navigate parallel with the correct road.
Summary: No way would I recommend this unit to truckers. In CA it doesn't list scales coming up, and when I leave the interstate the default seems to be to inform me that I should observe local route restrictions. WTF! My previous Garmin got wet and died, entirely my fault.
Summary: If you are buying this gps to be used in a truc, stop and save your money. I have had mine for about three months now and I can't count how many times it has tried to send me down weight limited roads, under low overpasses, onto length limited roads and through residential areas.
Summary: The 465T is not quite there yet. It feels like a car gps with a couple truck features thrown in. PROS: Nice Display w/auto night/day. Free Lifetime traffic. Categorize your favorites. Excellent signal reception. Multiple vehicle profiles. Bluetooth speakerphone. Multistop routing.
Summary: For truck drivers: this is NOT a GPS for you. It is a regular car GPS with some extras. It will calculate your route from point A to point B and then there will be an icon (inveriably so) that says it's not preferable truck route. That's all it does. That is the only difference between car gps and...
Summary: I bought the 465T back in July and so far I give this unit a C for trucks. The truck routing of this GPS is just horrible at times. It has routed me down dark residential side streets with low tree branches, when there was actually a truck designated route available.
Summary: Almost all map directions are wrong where I drive. It thinks you're at an intersection befor you get there and then makes you go out of your way to get back. Wouldn't buy another Garmin. Have Tomtom that wirks fine.
