Summary: I bought this unit with intent to use it for its truck features, mind you I also have the nuvi 855. I am glad I did not sell my 855. There is so much worng with the 465. 1) It could not take the full map update because of lack of memory. 2)The touch interface is garbage when you press a specific letter the letter to the right is whats selected.
Summary: the garmin wasn't brand new like I was told it had been registered since 2010 so I couldn't down load the maps with out paying 89.00 I have had it it a month and its not perfect but what is but it will do in a pinch wont be buying nothing electronic off ebay again
Summary: I brought the garmin gps because im a trucker thats delivers fuel additive to costco fuel stations and have to get routes and directions on my own .what i love about the nuvi t465 is the hazmat route and truck restriction route to assist you routeing to some stores located in some residence communitys.what i dont like about the nuvi t465 is that some highways are merged sometimes is not clear which highway to take which can cause you to get alittle fix on the nuvi gps...
Summary: I moved to PA from Colorado and needed this truckers GPS to help me at my job. However, it simply does not work as advertised. It gives false alerts when your on a road that is ok for trucks but more importantly, it directs you onto illegal bridges and low tunnels just like the car GPS. Best advise, go with the high end car GPS and be careful.
Summary: This GPS is great for the RV owner. It can be programed with your RV's dimensions for avoidance of low clearances and sharp turns. It is a very good value for all that it can do. In the past we have been guided by our GPS systems onto dirt roads, under bridges with 12 foot clearances and into tight city roads. With this unit, these problems are eliminated. The only negative would be the small screen.
Summary: The 465T also provides specialized routing for truck-related restrictions on most roads in the contiguous 48 states. You can specify height, weight, length, width, and hazardous materials criteria, and the navigator will provide the best, safest route to your destination
Summary: We drive a 40' motor home thus the reason for wanting this particular GPS. On the first trip we stayed off course more than on course, the unit would sometimes make turns and navigate parallel with the correct road. Most of the time we could make corrections before we got into trouble, you can't turn these rigs around in tight places, I am sure the trucker that use this unit feel the same way.
Summary: I actually got 2 one with lifetime maps and one without thinking that it was a different gps but turns out the same product, just one with lifetime maps.. I still use it but next time I would buy the one including lifetime map updates..
Updated review April 2014. Latest unit updates dangerous for trucks.

Summary: I've traveled the USA for many years. When I use any GPS, I know to double check the route. Pick your favorite paper or electronic map and it will have flaws. It doesn't matter who puts the map or mapping software out. Count on errors. Having said that, I have used a couple of Tom-Tom car GPS units, which I consider useless, and a Garmin car GPS unit. Before that I used a laptop along with Delorme Street Atlas and their plug-in GPS unit.
