Summary: I bought this unit because I am a local driver in cincinnati. There are many truck restrictions and I liked the traffic alerts. ...BUT I hate this thing. I have used it in my car and had no problems other than it sometimes takes a longer route around. However in a big truck its useless. It is constantly telling me I am not on a truck route even when I am. For instance it happened on the interstate.
Summary: I got this gps because I wanted it for trucking and general navigation. I didn't feel I needed all the whistles and bells that come with the more expensive 560 lmt. Another reason I purchased this device was because it had the versatility for me to add lake maps, as I thought it would be nice to use it for hard and soft water fishing.
Great GPS! Would recommend for auto, truck, and rv use.

Summary: We bought this particular GPS because it has both truck and auto modes on it. Updating data and maps is quite easy. We just plug in the GPS to our computer with a USB cord that came with it and there you go- smart again!
Summary: I HATE this GPS! My first complaint is about the manual that comes with it. It's just a quick start guide & doesn't tell you much about the features. I tried to download a complete manual from their website & that one wasn't much better. Another thing is that you can not select an alternate route. Once you enter your destination it programs a route & that is the way you are going whether you like it or not. Very annoying! It also is not very truck specific.
Summary: I am a truck driving, traveling all over the United States. Having the right GPS is essential to keep me on routes that are only for large trucks. I was using a regular Garmin and it just was not doing the trick, had to compensate using an app on my iphone. With this new Garmin, it does it all. No wasted time and makes my job much easier.
Summary: Too many screens to change to get info that should be on the main screen...this thing cannot even tell you what town you are in! omg! it gives only the lattitude and longitude! Try telling that to a tow truck driver! and listen, I do not need a colorful child looking diagram of a toy truck driving around on a screen to navigate, I need a real map! None of the GPS i have used will let you pick your own way, I have never figured that out..
Summary: I think I received a refurbished one but I ordered a brand new one. It is very slow, the calibration is way off, it's supposed to be updated to the up to date format and it wasn't. I have three garmins besides this one and this is the worst one.
