Summary: Bought this to replace a Garmin with a dead battery. Tried to replace the battery first, but that's another story. Easy to use. Has all the basic features, and lifetime map updates. No traffic. Refurbished, but appears as good as new.
Summary: Great little unit, worth the money. I took a trip from Anchorage, Alaska to WI and it was able to keep me posted about needed fuel stops in Canada. Very easy to use, I was able to easily change the settings from mph/kph and distance in Km while traveling thru Canada.
Summary: It was going to be quite a bit to update my maps on my old Garwin. So I started to look for alternatives and this model had everything I wanted. We took it for this years vacation circling Lake Superior.
Summary: Our phone charges us insane data roaming in Canada, so it's useless as a GPS. This unit is not useless however, so it's indispensable when travelling in CA. We bought this unit to replace our Nuvi 650 because the battery on the latter died.
I Swear At The British Lady Inside of This A Lot Less Than I Swore at The Lady Inside My Old GPS
13 June 2014
Summary: My wife sets our GPS to be a mellow British lady's voice in order to calm my intense road rage. But the lady in the TomTom I used to have would instruct me to make so many misguided turns I would continuously curse her like a drunken pirate.
Summary: I used this product while travelling on vacation. It worked great and was an absolute necessity for areas that I was not familiar with. The battery life was a bit disappointing as I had to keep connecting the charger toward the end of my trips.
Summary: Don't know what we would have done without Garmin, having lived in five states and 13 houses, not to mention the road trips we have taken for pleasure. We got this one for our new (used) car and are retiring our oldest one, because AT LAST we are entitled to lifetime free map updates.
