GarminExpressInstaller.exe acts like a virus, not an updater.

Summary: The hardware is pretty good, but the software ... Let's just say (very kindly) that the promise of "Lifetime Updates" is misleading, and, perhaps, dangerous. I hadn't run the updater for awhile, until, while driving, I became aware that the map was seriously out of date about highway changes.
Summary: I bought this trusting the good reviews. I live in an area undergoing major road construction on all the highways, and I wanted the GPS to help me route around it when I run errands and go to appointments.
Summary: Researched this gps unit before buying. Tech reviews online were very favorable. Have used the unit a couple of times and it works well. Have yet to test it on a long trip with multiple destinations. I have no reason to doubt it's ability and accuracy. A great buy for the features it has.
Summary: We bought this for our vacation from FL to TN. I had regular maps and printed directions from www.mapquest.com. The Garmin had the same route as mapquest. We used it with the sound off and mounted it on the passenger side of the windshield.
Summary: This is a very handy, cheap GPS if all you need is directions from point A to point B. It does not provide live traffic, which bummed me out initially, but then I remembered the price I payed for it. The screen is large enough to see all the details you need.
