Summary: This is our second Garmin and we bought this with Lifetime updates because it was cheaper than getting updates to our old one. I like the ability to move the screen (drag with your finger) to see areas around.
Summary: I got this as a replacement for a 6 year old Garmin nuvi 255w that had finally died. I worried that the smaller screen would be a problem, but I haven't noticed any difference in ability to navigate and see as much of the map as I need to.
Summary: this is the 2nd one i own. it has all the basic features needed for the average drive. i do like the preview of the exits ramps that it pops up when nearing a major intersection that guides u to which lane to be in.
Summary: As an Insurance Professional who uses a GPS daily to locate properties I need to inspect and evaluate I've had several units over the years. I have by far had the best luck with Garmin products. I've had 5 of them now.
Summary: So far, so good. I bought the last remaining one at a great sale price from the Cambridge/Alewife store, to replace my old Garmin when the frayed power cable finally broke. Besides that, I now have a lifetime of free map updates which should be great.
Summary: This GPS was bought to rplace another Garmin unit that "locks up" . It is used in a work truck, and needed for service calls to specific addresses. It has basic features and not much added fanfare that other models offer. I would reccomend this GPS unit, low cost and effective. Paid $69.99 on sale
Summary: Over the years I have owned several different GPS systems. Garmin continues to be my preferred brand, I will probably continue using my Garmin Nuvi40LM for a long time to come. It is great for the price I paid. am impressed overall with the improved speed and sophistication of this device.
