Exactly what we were hoping to find! Price-wise and Feature-wise

  • Summary: Exactly what I was hoping to find. The maps are fairly accurate, considering we are in PA. Only complaint is that we can't find other voices (purely a personal opinion) and the options screen isn't as easy to locate. Sometimes I want to change from "fastest" to "only highways" and that option is not quickly accessible. This is a great simple GPS.

  • Summary: Apparently, depending on how long it has been sitting on the shelf, the GPS may be received without any battery life. It can either be charged for 3-4 hours using your car battery, or 9-12 hours on the computer, using the enclosed mini USB port. I had anticipated being able to use the GPS immediately, right out of the box, but was disappointed that it first needed charging. When charged, it operates just fine.

Lifetime updates are the way to go.

  • Summary: This is our second Garmin and we bought this with Lifetime updates because it was cheaper than getting updates to our old one. I like the ability to move the screen (drag with your finger) to see areas around. This came in handy when we were stuck in a traffic jam and wanted to find our options for escape. Another plus is this version doesn't say "recalculating" when you make a detour but does keep giving you options to get you back on track.

solid, dependable Garmin

Carlie, Staples

  • Excerpt: I got this as a replacement for a 6 year old Garmin nuvi 255w that had finally died. I worried that the smaller screen would be a problem, but I haven't noticed any difference in ability to navigate and see as much of the map as I need to. I really like the new (to me) lane assist function; when coming to an intersection with multiple lanes, the top left corner shows the number of lanes and highlights the one you should be in.
