Summary: I bought it because it says it has the capability to add trip planners but they worked for a while and then all the sudden now they are not working. I spent $399.99 + Tax because of trip planner features but now its not working. So, whats so good about life time map updates or life time traffic updates if i am not getting what i suppose to get out of it. I had worst experience with garmin and may not buy any more garmin product.
Pros: Faster touch screen is the only good feature in it
Cons: Can not download routes or trip planners from any third party program
Summary: I don't get it. Why does it matter that a GPS is ultra thin? How often does the average person carry around their GPS device? unless you travel alot not that often. Plus if you do it'll be in your suitcase. Also does it really matter what it looks like in the end? as long as it can promise to keep me out of traffic and get me where i need to be quickly and efficiently i'm sold.
Pros: Slim design, Nuvi Routing
Cons: Pricey, not the most efficient and dependable routing
Detour Route Calculations and Flexibility is TERRIBLE!!

Summary: Garmin nüvi 3790T 4.3-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Lifetime Traffic My first GPS purchase was 5 years ago and was the Garmin 2730. Back then, I wrote an extensive review and despite any shortcomings, rated it 5 stars! After the bulky power cord had to be replaced several times, I decided it was time to replace the unit. In it's place, I bought this one, the Garmin 3790T, about a year ago!
Summary: I have owned many gps units for the past 10 years. I am very picky when it comes to gps units and I do not think twice about sending back units that I do not feel are good and accurate. I currently own Nuvi models 360 and 780. I received my 3790T last week and for a brand new model this one has blown me away. One main thing to remember is to make sure you uncheck most of the choices on the avoidance screen so your routing is more accurate.
Summary: This is my third (and least favorite) Garmin. I bought it because I was lured by the ultra-slim design and the 3D terrain and building views. The design is excellent and the product is as easy to use as my previous Garmins, but I've had several disappointments. First of all, so far in Canada there is no 3D effects, this changes at the border going into the States however, but there is no where on their site that explains this is a feature only available in the US.
Summary: Been using the nuvi line. I've kept a 360 and 660 and tried/returned a couple of others.....the problems I experienced with the 3790: 1. After a software update it started drawing maps very very slowly. 2. software bugginess galore. pretty easy to get it to crash. 3. it chooses odd routes. turned off all the smart routing features and it still chooses odd routes.
Summary: This newly released Garmin GPS has several great design features but also has some functional flaws that need to be resolved. For now, due to the very high price, I returned it until Garmin can fix these issues. Details are below. Pros (most important to least): o Extremely well-designed thin profile. o The display graphics are increadibly well-done: far more geographic detail exists compared to our previous Garmins o It's also very light and fits easily in a pocket.
Summary: Have been using this for a while now. It's a great design etc, but the maps is the most important, and even after an update it does get stuck in a lot of places, including central London. It's sent me around in loops a number of times. Also it doesn't have an easy way to choose your own route; it calculates the route itself based on your preference for: faster time, short distance, less fuel etc, but it reality it doesn't work very well, and it most often than not sends...
Stopped working after 3 times. Difficult to get any form of support from Garmin

Summary: Garmin Nuvi 3760T Europe with Premium Traffic I love the look of this product and when it was working, it did so with ease and it was quite accurate. After 3 uses it however, it stopped working with no life in the product now evident. I have contacted Garmin several times by their email support have been assured a response within three days but there has been no contact from Garmin. Very disappointed .
Summary: Bought for my Mrs for Christmas. Read all the technology mags and they all said this was the one to go for. It is a hundred quid premium over most others so you expect something special. The Good: - It looks the business. All Sat Navs should be this form factor. It has something of the iphone about it. When you first get it out the box you are chuffed to bits. - You can choose landscape or portrait aspect ration depending on preference simply by turning it.
