Summary: I've had this unit for about a year and overall it is better than the StreetPilot 2720 that I had before. BUT I still think the 3760 REALY needs to have a remote option like the 2720 had. Accessing the travel time data, etc. takes too much time to get to (eyes off the road), is slightly too far to reach comfortably to the windshield, and on anything but a smooth road you have to brace your hand either on the device or the windshield to be sure you are touching the...
Summary: The size is great and easy to store in the storage case. It is very good for finding addresses in town (Bakersfield), however, we went to Kernville (Rivernook Campground), using the exact address, and it did not recognize it. The worst problem was when we went to Anaheim. The Garmin wanted to take us into all these weird bad neighborhoods to get there, rather than just taking the 5 all the way. That was really annoying.
Summary: The Garmin navigates very well but I have a problem with it. I would like to be able to disregard certain routes and the Garmin does not give you that ability. For instance I was just in Florida and there is this blvd that is very dark, single lane, many trucks, and curvy. I wanted to go another route without taking this particular blvd. Well the Garmin does not give me the ability to alter the route given.
Summary: Got a decent deal on cyber Monday so I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 3790LMT. The idea of lifetime traffic and map updates really appealed to me. Although I haven't had a great deal of experience with the traffic function, it seems to work pretty well. First thing I did was update maps as there was an update available. What I wasn't prepared for was the length of time it took to download the new map.
Summary: It comes with a quick start manual only ,if you want a 71 page manual, you must print it off the internet. The GPS locks up at times , when it puts a coupon on the screen for a motel. You then have to reset the GPS , which is not covered in the Quick Start Manual. This is my 4th Garmin , going back about 20 years and is by far the hardest to find info on the GPS and about the GPS.
Summary: This is my second Garmin Nuvi GPS. My first was a Nuvi 360 and it still works after more than 4 years. I decided it was time to upgrade to a newer version after having my old one for so many years. Some of the features that caused me to choose the 3760LMT were the lifetime maps and traffic, Lane Assist, Junction View, trafficTrends, and myTrends.
