Nice Looking, but Short Life, Slow Satellite Data to start
18 February 2012
Summary: I have this NUVI 3750 for about a year. It is nice looking, but does not give option to choose routes, and it does not show you. So you do not know whether you are going via shortest distance or most high way or the quickest time. It is very slow in acquring satellite data when it just turned on. I have driven 1-2 miles and it finally gets the data, but IT IS TOO SLOW!!! In the past few months, it starts to act funny and unreliably.
Summary: 1) Unit was charged and I powered unit up 2) The Pwr sequence a bit slower compared to my Tom Tom 720 but more technology more power more delays 3) Unit goes into demo mode and sat in vechile for 15 minutes trying to get satellites to show up as recomended in quick start manual 4) I exited demo mode and proceeded to deactivate demo mode because unit was not seeing any Satellites 5) followed instruction but the unit will NOT recognize the request to deactivate GPS...
Summary: I wanted to love the 3790LMT, but it has so many problems that I'm sending it back to Amazon for a refund. I've been using the 1450t for about a year, and upgraded to the 3790 with some holiday cash. At first it seemed great; it's very thin with a bright beautiful screen, the 3d mapping is super cool in the city, and the Bluetooth and voice control worked fine. Over the first week, I started to have a lot of problems.
Summary: don't buy this product it frequently shut down when i bought it started happening the first day when i spoke to GARMIN about it they asked me to reset but the problem still persisted i had to return the product i have seen similar review all over the internet dont buy this product
Summary: My husband got me a Nuvi 3790LMT GPS for Christmas - I was all excited and tried it out over the weekend & had questions, which I sort of expected because I have not used a GPS before. Oh well, that's what tech support is there for, right? Well, tech support at Garmin was not open on the weekend (sort of strange in this day & age).
Summary: We purchased our Garmin GPS last year when the prices were hundreds higher (before most cell phones started incorporating a GPS into the phone and caused prices to plummet). There were no lifetime map updates included. We paid over a hundred dollars for a simple map update...the machine was outdated map wise when purchased (even though bought new from Best Buy). Thanks for telling us that Best Buy and Garmin!
Summary: Do you self a favor and don't buy this product or any other garmin product until the remove these stupid pop ads, read all the review the complain about it I wish I had. The graphic are great, but why would you want a stupid at to come up every time you stop at a light that offer something stupid from best western hotel clip and print for some points ready, you should be allow to turn this off, shame and garmin and I will never stay at a best western rat hole hotel DON"T...
