Summary: My husband bought this unit from Best Buy, and spent forever trying to get it to work. He's even more ... technologically challenged than I am, so I just assumed he was doing it wrong, as did he. He spent so long trying to get it to work, and finally succeeded in getting it to run a preview/practice route, but that was ALL it would ever do.
Summary: I think this is a terrible gps. I currently own a garmin 265wt and the routing on it is much better. For starters, I bought this for the detailed maps. It does have good detailed street names when in a large city, however the gps does not route correctly. It kept giving me wrong directions and didnt even allow me to view the map because the touch screen keeps freezing.
Summary: We were all excited when we got our GPS but quickly grew dissilusioned. This GPS loses satellite reception at all times. First day we were using it, it started to recalculate our route all of a sudden, even though we had not failed following its directions! So we found ourselves in the middle of an unknown area and the GPS kept recalculating! Also, the maps are not that accurate. When visiting the Berkshires we asked it to take us to Mt.
Summary: Hardware quality rated 1 out of 5 (poor): I was on day two of my vacation in New York City when the GPS decided it was no longer going to power on, unless it was connected to external power. I'll spare you the gory details, but let's just say Garmin technical support consists of emailing to them and a different person responding to each query which causes a loss in continuity.
Summary: What has happened to Garmin? They have always stood for quality products, until recently. This is one of two Nuvi 3750 GPS that I have purchased and returned. Each of them worked fine for short periods of time, but always felt very hot to the touch--almost too hot to hold. Then, after 2 or 3 hours of use, they first lost the maps, then just quit, sometimes to restart immediately, other times wouldn't start for an hour or so.
