Summary: I just received a replacement for my 3590LMT because the original wouldn't receive traffic. According to the NAVTEQ coverage map, I should get a strong signal north of Boston, but even the replacement fails. I took my first one to Philly and back and never got a traffic signal. I bought the external antenna extension but it didn't help. I did some research and found lots of people complaining about the same issue, so Garmin must know about it.
Great product, just pray you don't need customer support!

Summary: I enjoyed a solid 5 months of constant use out of this GPS unit until it broke. I used it just about every day for work and rely on it heavily. So when the satellite signal started degrading and dropping out, I wanted to get to the bottom of it immediately. I started by making sure it wasn't a satellite problem (I hear those sunspots can be a menace), but my other old Garmin and TomTom GPS units worked fine in the same areas, so I called customer support hoping they'd be...
Summary: After several nuvi devices this unit got me over the need for a device that should be a high end stand-alone navigation unit when I might as well use my cellphone to guide me. The 3590LMT was trying to do too many other things and not doing any of them very well. My reasons for getting this unit was because it is a Garmin unit advertised to be a read text aloud and send texts, traffic camera updates, track your driving and traffic trends, get the best gas mileage, cell...
Summary: When I go to update the maps using the online updater, I find out that the maps update doesn't fit on the device! This is the second Garmin Nuvi I have owned that was effectively obsoleted by the fact that the maps failed to fit. It is a clear consistent modern case of planned obsolescence. So if you put any value in the "lifetime" maps update, change that value to zero. I've been loyal to Garmin with my business but not any more.
Summary: Did anyone have this problem? from nuvi that was shiped from neveda warehouse? I bought this garmin nuvi 3590LMT, brand new from amazon. it shiped from nevada wherehouse, when i first opened the product, i can see it was open box. than the prodcut has some scratechs on it. i called amazon and they replaced it.
Excerpt: Theoretically (and according to sponsored reviews), this is a top-of-the-line device. The main differentiating feature is its ability to accept voice commands. I assume this is also the reason it costs nearly twice what similar models without voice command do. There is no question Garmin builds a great GPS (I've had several); however, the Voice Command feature on this model simply does not work.
Summary: If I would rate only GPS part of this model, I rate it 5+. GPS is very fast for calculating routes and making on demand adjustments. Unfortunately I end up returning it due to bad user experience. After using for 3~4 weeks Bluetooth connectivity issues start coming up. Bluetooth connection was randomly doped and then reconnected some time. While other times I had to turn on/off GPS Bluetooth manually. Same issues start happening with the replacement unit I got.
