Great tool for navigation, but needs traffic function to be more useful.

Summary: I love my GPS, for the most part. I'm a courier, so a GPS is pretty much standard equipment for me. I like all the information you can display on it, and all the choices. The only complaints are that it's really clumsy to get it to tell you how far it is from point a to point b when you're not in your car, and it has no traffic function.
Summary: I've been teased by my kids for so long for making wrong turns even with the maps in front of me, that I finally got myself this Garmin GPS. I prefer Garmin than smartphone maps since I want to use satellite rather than cellphone towers where coverage can be spotty in certain regions. The traffic receiver is great addition too, so that I get real time traffic update to avoid it. I won't have to worry about making turns anymore.

Summary: Purchased the garmin nuvi 350lm to replace an earlier garmin model. I could not connect to ANY of the computers in my home. Contacted garmin, and they suggested that I search for programs that would block the garmin from being detected by my pc. This didn't work. I spent money on shipping and sent the gps back. Got a refurbished model back today and it won't connect. I tried to set up the gps in host or garmin mode without any luck.
Summary: The closest address and intersection that Garmin gives you is not the closest but what they decide that can be miles away and even in other towns. If you have to call 911 and use Garmin location information you or somebody else would die because it does not give true location information. Here is Garmin's answer about the intersection information being wrong "Thank you for the inquiry and I apologize for the late reply. First, the intersection issue.
Summary: My old Garmin quit working after many years. Garmin said they would repair it for $100, but since I like to get new stuff, I ordered this one. It gets up and running much faster. It's speaker is in the windshield mount so it's louder. I don't even have to have it at top volume. It's screen is higher resolution. It just does what it's supposed to quicker and better. Incidentally, I tried a new 5" version but it was too heavy. The windshield mount wouldn't stay stuck.
Summary: This was sold as having lifetime map updates but it doesn't have it. I called Garmin and they checked the serial number and said it didn't have lifetime map updates. Be Careful. Don't buy from DAVE PARKERS.
Summary: My husband had an older Garmin model that he really likes & was easy to use. Alas, his car was broken into & it was stolen. This was purchased to replace it. The 2 of us are not too tech savvy so understanding how it worked was a bit confusing. But he did.He travels alot & bought a chip for the overseas map & it performed superbly, kept everything in memory, & barely needed recharging. He is very pleased with this.
Summary: I've been a longtime Nuvi user. This is a sleek unit with great navigation. My only disappointments came when I realized that, unlike my old Nuvi, this unit has no headphone jack and no ability to play MP3s. It CAN play Audible audio books, tho, but why anyone would listen to an audio book thru its tinny little speaker I'll never know.
