Summary: Hi, Not a bad little device my only gripes are it can take a long time to find the satelites when you first turn it on, I live in central London fyi. Also there is no facility to avoid the London CC nor according to Garmin support any plans to add such functionality.
Excerpt: I just love this gps! it has a very clean design and its small so you can allways carry it in your bag. Before i buy it i've tryed a lots of gps, tomtom included, and this is the best for sure.
Pros: multifunctional, battery up to 8h, mp3 player
Cons: only 300Mb of free internal memory, u have to buy a memory card
Excerpt: I bought one in Comet for £99.99. Pros.: It is light, descent design, easy to carry in pocket. Has strong signal and works even inside house. Cons.: Does not show car's current speed, distance to destination, PIO's along the road. The colour of the maps can not be changed.
Excerpt: I bought one of these a couple of months ago. I reserved it online and picked it up from Comets the following day(they offered an extra discount for doing this) and it told me they had it in stock and it was mine if I turned up and payed for it within 3 day's.
Excerpt: After much research I bought a Garmin Nuvi 300T from Amazon 5 weeks ago, at £169.99. I went for this one as I wanted the free traffic warning system, which is sent via a silent FM channel. So you can see delays and ask the Sat Nav to divert you.
Pros: Great little Sat Nav unit, clear and fast
Cons: Traffic unit doesn't work, software updater doesn't work, hard to get out of windscreen mount !
Good Sat Nav, naughty company to sell goods with known fault!

Excerpt: I’ve been borrowing my friends Tom Tom recently for long trips and found it so good that I decided to purchase my own Sat Nav. I began doing much online research to see which would be the best unit for me.
Excerpt: I bought this as a last minute item for £149 on my way to see relatives. The traffic and weather were both horrendous and I couldn't imagine trying to follow my routeplanner printout!! I got it out the box, plugged it in, attached it to the bracket and away I went.
Excerpt: Purchasing the Garmin Nuvi..... I bought this unit for my girlfriend as a present sometime back in the hope that it would help her find the exit out of that proverbial paper bag. At the time of purchase, I had narrowed my choice down to two satellite navigation systems that both fell well within my...
Pros: Sleak, compact and aesthetically pleasing
Cons: Innacurate on some roads, commands sometimes confusing
Summary: To be perfectly honest, I had a tom tom working on my cell phone before buying this dedicated unit. The tom tom on the phone was not reliable, however, I believe the hard-wired dedicated units are. This unit works OK but the software is not upto much compared with the Tom Tom.
