Summary: for the price im very happy. its got the typical garmin matte finish screen, its very resilient which is the ultimate plus, these things are hard to break. i had my last one brand new in 2008 til the other month and it worked great, just suddenly mine had stopped locating satellites so i needed a new one.
Summary: We had this unit for about 3 years. We bought it because of the blue tooth feature and that worked well. The rest of the unit also worked well until it suddenly died last week. Unit suddenly went dead and won't power on now.
Summary: It is a good GPS, no doubt about it. But the touchscreen started giving problems within a few months after buying. I got it for $125 for a lot of features three years back, and the touchscreen works even now, although with the same fault that it started with.
Summary: Bought this gps for my truck, I allread have the same one in my car, same one. Reason for purchase, I like the bluetooth, don't have to play with phone to answer calls. Everything else works fine too. If i had another vehicle I would buy the same one.
Summary: If you plan on using this GPS to route you on a long trip, it is a useless piece of junk. There is no setting on this unit to force it to stay on expressways, so on a long trip the two settings you can use (shortest distance or shortest time) take the most "direct" route, which both turn out to be the longest and slowest route. It is a flaw in the software, GPS units use a simple speed/distance calculation and it uses the speed information from posted speed limits.
Summary: This is my third garmin receiver. And it is great ! Previously I had model numbers 265wt and 255w. I needed a spare gps for my dad , so I picked this up. Works great.... Like most garmin products do. However it has on occasion made me pass up my destination and then makes me make a uturn and then takes me back to the destination...... But, this has happened with my other units as well, albeit usually after at least one year of use.
