Summary: I had Al & Ed Autosound install the camera, and they did an excellent job! If you live in the L.A. area, I recommend them, especially the one on the corner of Santa Monica and La Cieniga. My biggest gripe is -- so far -- that there were no clear instructions on operating the unit. Entering locations isn't that easy, and Garmin is remiss in that area. As with so many other reviewers, I am disappointed in the quality of the TV image.
Summary: Purchased this for my Lincoln Mark LT Truck and it looks and works perfect. I had the reverse camera installed by "Car Tunes" $65 well worth it. I also bought the sunshade and it makes a world of difference. This is my 4th Garmin, they just keep getting better and better!
Summary: I was considering a new vehicle just for the backup camera before moving into the Georgia mountains but then my son told me about this product. I ordered it the next morning and son installed it for me. I love this and have no fear of backing in tight quarters. I consider that this saved me $20,000.
Summary: Purchased this when we up-sized our family car to an Acadia. Had to do a little drilling and such to get this the way I wanted it, but not as bad as i thought it would be. Now have a little more confidence with leaving this larger vehicle in my wife's hands. I think i like it better than a built-in unit because we can just grab the GPS and take in with us in any other vehicle. It also maintains that easy to use Garmin interface that we already know.
Summary: Screen is huge! Because of that, it's not "super HD", but it really doesn't matter because it's GPS, not a TV. The backup camera works great. It's a little wide for me, but for 99% of the population it's perfect. I use it specifically to view a trailer hitch while hooking up to trailers, therefore I would prefer a tighter view of the hitch vs a wide view of everything that is behind the vehicle. Overall, definitely worth the money for me.
Summary: I drive a small car that didn't come equipped with a back-up camera or a factory navigation system. When it's parked between large SUVs and pickup trucks, I found it difficult to see if there was anyone coming when I backed out of parking spaces. Combining the back-up camera image and navigation screens in the same device appealed to me, so I tried this solution. I hooked up the nav screen and got it working right away.
Summary: This is a great GPS. I bought this for my daughter who is a new driver. She needed to have clear precise directions. The GPS is very intuitive telling you to make a right at the "Shell Gas Station". The hands free calling is extremely clear. With the voice activation, she can say "Call ...." and the GPS chooses the right contact. The backup camera is awesome as well. I bought two - fantastic product.

Summary: Works as described. Excellent backup image appears in less than two seconds after shifting into reverse. Installed on 2002 Dodge Durango inside the rear hatch window to avoid drilling into the metal of the hatch. Not optimum, but good enough, I think. If I want a closer view to the trailer hitch, I will go ahead and drill into the hatch door and mount the camera outside.
