Summary: Overall I'm very pleased with this Garmin, it works well in the US and in UK, and seems to have a faster response time than my previous Garmin. I purchased the mains power adapter but found it not to be necessary, and yes the cigar lighter power socket in the US is identical to the one used in UK...
Summary: I love this Nuvi and definitely got my money's worth. I bought the version with European Map, used it beautifully in Belgium and Germany. The traffic update I seldom use because the information is usually too late to really inform you of the real traffic situation (this is in the DC area).
Summary: My wife and I just got back from a 12 day trip back to Germany. We lived there for three years (84-87). I had to get acclimated back to driving on the Autobahn again and can tell you that the max speed I got to was 123 mph. I really didn't have a great deal of experience using the Garmin 275T.
Summary: I got my Nüvi about 4 months ago when I was in the states visiting family (I currently live in Europe) and purchased it primarily because my older GPS company (whom I should name, but I can't remember the name..
Summary: The review by Derrick, "Masters of Rural France," convinced me to buy the 275T for a trip to France. I am very glad I did. When we landed in Nice, I rented a car from Hertz. Before launching I fished the 275T out of my suitcase, suction cupped it to the windshield, plugged it into the cigarette...
Summary: I bought this for a trip to Greece. I was unsure if it would work accurately there but took the chance anyway. Many streets in Greece are not marked. The street signs are placed on the buildings and many have been removed, painted over or hidden behind the landscaping.
Summary: I purchased this unit in December 2009 when in the planning stages of a trip to Italy. Since I had made our reservations prior to leaving, I was able to look up the hotels on Google maps, and easily send these to my Nüvi 275T and save them in Favorites. Worked great!
Summary: Just used the 275t extensively in Italy. It was fantastic. Even in Milan and Florence it worked without a problem. In Venice we even put it in pedestrian mode and it helped when we were lost on foot. The key though is to make sure that you have the settings right.
Summary: I bought this for a trip that I'll be taking overaseas... I've tested the product and even searched for places I'll be staying overseas while here in Chicago and it seems to have find all nearby restaurants and locations ready to go.
Summary: I've found this to be a great GPS for me. It works all over Chicago (where a friend's GPS couldn't get a signal with all the skyscrapers) and wherever I've taken it in Illinois and Indiana so far.
