Summary: I BOUGHT THIS ITEM , I THOUGHT WAS NEW. WAS USED. I CALLED AMAZON, THEY GAVE ME A FEW BUCKS OFF AFTER THAT. I THOUGHT, WELL, OK, I WILL KEEP IT EVEN THOUGH I THOUGHT I WAS BUYING A NEW PRODUCT. PAPERWORK INSIDE BELONGED TO ANOTHER GARMIN DEVICE. ANYWAY, I KEPT IT BECAUSE I NEEDED IT FOR EUROPE. I WENT TO EUROPE AND THE MAPS DIDNT WORK, THEY SENT ME ALL OVER IN WRONG DIRECTIONS.
Summary: I bought this prior to a trip to Spain. Once there, I turned it on while driving in a friend's car. It had no idea where we were. I emailed Garmin and figured out that the maps of Europe weren't preloaded. All I had was my iPad and couldn't download the maps. Tried Internet cafes, but their computers didn't have the right version of Microsoft.net. Had to rely on google maps. Once home downloaded Europe map. Took over an hour. Next trip to Europe? Who knows.
Summary: I have owned portable navigators since 2004 and this is is my 3rd navigator. I have used the navigators both in Europe on several vacations and at home in the US and Canada. My first navigtor got stolen, my second a 920 TomTom was decapitated when using the wrong power supply by accident. We choose to switch from Tom Tom to Garmin as everybody told us Garmin "works" better in the US. I have to say that we found the opposite.
Summary: We bought our garmin before moving to Germany thinking it would make navigation in a new country easier. Unfortunately, it stops working every 5th or 6th use and has to be reset, taking time and erasing all our user data. And, while it gets us where we are going, it rarely goes the fastest or most direct way regardless of its settings. We are sadly disappointed in our purchase.
Summary: Bought this before the Mediterranean cruise and was able to update the map from Garmin's site. However, it never worked during our trip in Spain, France, Italy and Croatia. Only successfully acquired satellite twice, one at the barcelona port and one at Florence after left under the sun for over 30 minutes. Signal was so weak and got lost in minutes. It never worked when it's turned on at any street during walking tour.
Summary: Bought one of these new and it was junk, junk, junk. Not a commercial grade product. Had them replace it and I got another similarly dysfunctional product. Trying to get them to swap it out under the warranty but this is hard to do as you can't get them on the phone - over 30 minutes wait times by their voicemail - I'm at 30 minutes and still waiting. Have bought another different GPS to replace this one which is now an expensive blob on the shelf.
Summary: I bought this device like many to take to Europe. I used it for a couple days before. It wouldn't hold a signal and would constantly recalculate when you're on your course. It would sometimes have you miles away on another road going in a different direction. Or miles away driving through the country. WHen you stop, it will spin and recalculate. Or show you driving somewhere on a road miles away. I did take it to Europre but it was never able to obtain a signal there.
Summary: I bought this Nuvi 275T as I have used Nuvi 350 extensively for past 3 years and never had any issues with it however I had given that to my brother thinking I would now upgrade to a higher Garmin version but within three days of using nuvi 275T I am disappointed with this device..I find the nuvi 275t satellite detection not as good as my nuvi 350 but the biggest disappointment was when I tested nuvi 275t to find my job location but surprisingly it didn't figured that...
Cons: Acquires Satellites Slowly, Inaccurate, Poor voice and pronouncia, Short Battery Life, Stupid Routing
Summary: GPS won't lock sometimes, sometimes it thinks I'm a few miles away on a different street going a different direction, sometimes it thinks I'm driving through the country where no roads exist. When stopping at a light, it will spin and recalculate. It will recalculate for no reason sometimes. The spec are good on this GPS but reality is different. NOT recommended.
