Summary: We bought this unit to use on our two week Europe trip to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We rented (and returned )a car in Stuttgart Germany. We had no previous GPS experience before this trip. Our car (a Mercedes) came with a built in GPS but we quickly abandoned it for the Garmin.
Summary: I have just received this and updated the maps. I had to choose between updating the European or N.American maps - the process was clear and went smoothly. I think it would be reasonable to allow purchaser to update both maps, but it was clearly stated on the website that only one would be free and...
Summary: I have been operating this using the unit for about 10 months now. Its been a companion on many trips. This is what I like about the unit: - The US maps are accurate, they have taken me to my destination 100% of the time. This is my number 1 requirement and the unit executes on it well.
Summary: I've found this to be a great GPS for me. It works all over Chicago (where a friend's GPS couldn't get a signal with all the skyscrapers) and wherever I've taken it in Illinois and Indiana so far.
Summary: Great GPS, Great price considering the features.
Pros: My 6th GPS including BMW and Lexus in dash. I purchcased this for a trip to Europe and it was fantastic. No problems and even picked up a traffic alert driving from Berlin to Amsterdam saving me about 45 min rerouting to side roads. Highly recommended of you travel to Europe as well as US. Built ...
Cons: Bluetooth can be a bit fussy. Keyboard is not QUERTY.
Summary: First, kudos to both Garmin and Amazon for quickly diagnosing and replacing a lemon unit sent to me initially. Amazon's replacement system was awesome! After the initial frustration of my first GPS unit being DOA, I was delighted when I fired up the replacement and easily learned its basic...
Pros: This is my first GPS. I bought this model because it offered traffic updates. It works as advertised. It has saved me several times while driving into traffic and suggested alternate routes. Garmins website is very useful. The bluetooth cell phone connection is a bonus!
Cons: Not the fastest at recalculating routes, but does ok. Doesn't have lane by lane guidance but I knew that when I purchased it. My next GPS will! :)
Summary: This little baby is an absolute gem! My wife and I just returned from a two week trip around Europe and boy were we glad we had the Garmin Nuvi 275t. We wanted to bring a GPS with us to help us navigate the back-roads of Normandy, France but it had to be small/light as we were flying carry-on only.
Summary: From my recent forum post- I posted a question 6 weeks ago as to "which GPS to get for a trip to Europe." I ended up buying the Garmin NUVI 275T after alot of confusion reading the on-line discussions for various options.
