Summary: It's a hearty, solid GPS unit, but is starting to feel outdated in terms of what smartphones can do anyway.
Pros: It's the quality and simplicity of Garmin. The GPS is super easy to use. Voice directions are great and there is a cool gas mileage function to calculate the cost of a trip. Display is nice and bright when plugged in. Wide screen is also good for visability, but not too big.
Cons: Tiny flaws in the directions (it'll sometimes take yo uto the wrong side of the street or around the block an extra time that you don't need), touchscreen seems to not be quite sensitive enough (possibly since touch phones sensor technology is starting to feel so natural. my girlfriend specifical...
Summary: I recommend Garmin to anyone that wants to buy a new GPS unit. One of my jobs is as a delivery man, so mine has gotten a workout, and never lets me down.
Pros: I've been using mine for well over a year now. It's great. This one replaced a 4 year old model, which also worked great, and is still working. I can only hope this one lasts as long. Every few months, I consider replacing it, and then wonder why I would. It works perfectly. It's so simple my mot...
Cons: Mine didn't come with lifetime map updates, which I paid extra for later, and it cost WAY more than the $105 this is going for now. If this one came with lifetime updates, it would be perfect.
Summary: Requires the special power cord to receive traffic info - when plugged into the GPS, then traffic icon is displayed. Entering destination is cumbersome, especially if you live near another state, as unit default to your home state - so you have to change state then select city or address.
Pros: Receives traffic info. Fairly quick to acquire satellite signals - after the initial out of the box configuration. Wide screen.
Cons: Initial configuration/satellite acquisition took a long time. traffic info sometimes not correct/updated. Voice has gotten distorted from time to time - requiring power off then back on. Voice direction generally tells you to turn before the actual turn, which can be a problem if there are multip...
Summary: I'll be returning this for one that actually works.
Pros: newegg is great.
Cons: just bought this. turned it on and acquired signal. went to type in a go-to address and it tells me no data available. rebooted the device and it tells me cannot load maps. the north american map should be preloaded. did a hard reset and reran the Garmin WebUpdater and still does same thing. went...
Summary: Probably, all GPS are that bad in our days. This is not the worst, compare to others.
Pros: Made solidly, responds quickly, no problem connecting the satellite. Light-weight. Comes with a good holder.
Cons: Has an intelligence of the poor cellphone. Tries to pull me off the highway in the middle of the way. Going through menus is complicated. Also, entering the address you're about to go to is overcomplicated.
Summary: Heavy Traffic alternative route feature is awesome! This is my 3rd Garmin and it rocks for the reduced price and packaged deal. Don't pass up a GPS especially if your tired of using Yah__ and G__gle maps.
Pros: Excellent product. In use in the Seattle area and works as advertised. Great Maps and POI. Also works well on hiking trips.
Summary: Buy another brand/model. This is outdated.
Pros: Color screen Voice directions
Cons: -Often gets "stuck" at "Acquiring Satellites" for no apparent reason. -The traffic is monitoring is a complete an utter lie, don't believe other reviews. It's utterly useless. -Map updates are 79.99
Summary: great multi lingual interface lots of language option for non english speaking persons. I bought this on sale for $140, came with screen protectors, and case. great deal.
Pros: Works right out of the box, easy to use interface, compact design.
Cons: speaker is on back instead of front, makes it hard to hear a clear sound when using bluetooth feature with phone. Does not have zip code feature to find your address, but doesnt seem to have too much trouble finding address using city, street name, etc..
