Summary: This is our first GPS and we love it! It's very user-friendly. Only had to glance at the directions once or twice- could figure it all out on the screen! I spent more than an hour shopping on Amazon for a gps, comparing reviews, etc, and finally settled for this. Boy am I glad I did! There are more expensive models, but I can't see them being any better than this! No need to compare anymore- just get this one. I'm positive you'll be happy with it.
Summary: My wife and I were both due for map updates on two older units. Picked up two of these for $89 each. Map updates would have been $79 each, so the extra $10 was a no-brainer. Garmin is obviously in the software business. Just finished installing the free map updates on both units, and we are ready to go.
Summary: I only used it once so far on a trip from NJ to VT. It worked well. The speed limit display was helpful when going through small towns. Alerted me well in advance of turns. I would recommend it so someone else. The GPS unit is the first I have used.

Summary: The big bright screen is a joy to use. once i got it figured out, operation is a snap. even the battery life is decent. no complaints at all. Oh, wait, one complaint! I wish you could sort favorites in alpha order.
Summary: Good product at good price with really good reception. I can even locate myself when walking and turning in my living room. Two things I don't like. 1. The price as of today, $96.54, is even lower than in holiday shopping season, just a month before, when I purchased it to replace my old 340. 2. The free map update period for my device seems to be really short, about 3 months, I think.
Summary: A good product right out of the box. It took about an hour to set the satellite acquisition, download the latest map update and sync the bluetooth to my phone but after that it was good to go. Directions are given in a clear voice, and the only wrong turns I have taken with it were my fault. It tends to fixate on main routes, so those little neighborhood shortcuts we all have will make it recalculate the route several times.
