Summary: This is a "basic" garmin. We have a Street Pilot 2720 - its no match compared to this model, but it will get you to where you are going! Great buy for the price! But make sure you look for "features", if you've had a high end model like a Street Pilot (paid $1200 for it years ago) you will be dissapointed. But it does the job of getting you to your destination! Great buy for the money.
Summary: My only complaint is that although it knows street names (although not the correct number of a U.S. highway that was changed nearly a year ago, when it was officially routed around a town), it assumes that when you are going approximately straight and the street changes names, it is not worth it to announce the new name. This could be misleading, especially when the street you were on turns, although you are to proceed straight.
Summary: I bought this GARMIN NUVI 265W with Bluetooth GPS about a month ago for $98 and i have been using it quite often. So far it is doing great and i reached all places safely. I havent really used the bluetooth functionality yet on this guy but it sounds promising because my friends told me it was good. Overall this GPS is doing a pretty nice job for its price and to mention, it has a lot of built in features.
Summary: The Garmin Nuvi is a great buy. The only problem we have had is some of the locations are not on the map. We live in a rural area and we can put in a chain restaurant that is 10 miles away, it doesn't recognize it but it will show others that are over 100 miles. Once we get the location entered, though, it takes us exactly like we need to go and easily corrects itself if we make a wrong turn or change our route along the way.
Summary: The garmin 265w was easy to set up and was use the first weekend on a 500 mile trip. It produce great results including arrival time. Only complaint I have is tried it for food on the exit I was comming off the interstate. It told me to get back on and go to next exit. but only had to take frontage road. Overall its my first GPS unit and was really easy to use.
Summary: I bought this unit after I returned one tomtom GPS because of poor signal. At the similar price, this unit dones't have lifetime maps and lane guidance. This GPS is fast to get signal even after it lost signal. However, there is no perfect GPS (maybe only at this price level). If the signal becomes weak (not lost signal), this unit will give you a wrong position. sometimes it will give you a wierd route, however, at least it will lead you to your destination.
Summary: Wow, GPS has come a long way in the last 5 years. This is a GREAT little unit for the price. Also, the maps are very current after you do the update after registering...I live in a very new area in Las Vegas and my address was always a challenge for any gps provider. This took me right there in the direction a local would drive. The ONLY reason I did not give it five stars is because it seems you cannot mute the persons voice on the directions..
Summary: Pro: Easy to setup, easy to use, clear voice navigation, clear instruction in manual. Con: You DO need to read manual to understand non-basic features. Route re-calculation seems take longer than my old GPS (which is 6 years ago), but seem it has not bad sensitivity - it knows location inside my house, which my old GPS doesn't. The main screen has a blue bar on top, which take too many space - I personally don't like that.
Summary: Purchased this GPS, mostly for the included BlueTooth speaker phone. Works well, picks up satellites faster than my old Garmin. Pretty happy with the purchase, the unit is easy to read and navigate. I like the updated software that gives the road names and calls out the destination address. I don't like the fact that there are no hard volume buttons.
