Summary: I had a similar Garmin Nuvi from 9 years ago, so this is a welcome upgrade. Just the new maps makes it worth it, at CXXX buckeroos. The voice command works sometimes but not all. Too cold to travel now, but I look forward to driving in Chicago and using all the features that make it so easy in big cities.
Excerpt: I bought a Garmin a couple of years ago but when I tried to update with the latest 'lifetime' maps I found it wasn't compatible with my Windows 7 PC. I dug out an XP PC (no longer supported) and the Garmin software then declared the maps too big and I needed a 4-8Mb SD card. I tried several cards from 4-32Mb and every time it said not enough space although each of the cards had been formatted. Garmin haven't replied to my mail.
Summary: Discovered why traffic and weather would not work, it's because they both came with the old standard chords. They need the chord with the "chunk" is how I describe it for traffic and weather to work. Otherwise great product.

Summary: It does not connect to a bluetooth fm transmitter. I have a severe hearing loss and can not understand the audio instructions from the miserable little speaker in ths gps. I spent $60 for a bluetooth fm transmitter to hear driving instructions on the vehicle sound system. It would not couple. Called garmin tech service, they confirmed that it can not couple, their response was too bad, we got your money, go away.
Summary: I purchased a " nearly new" unit from Amazon warehouse. It arrived without a power cord, with a large pink line on the screen and no sound. to add insult to injury, I had to pay $1.50 more than Amazon allowed me for USPS return. I would never buy from them again. I understand that some defects are not obvious, but mine were Beware!
