Great GPS system
22 August 2015
Summary: Great GPS system. Needs work on route planing as with all GPS I have seen there are several ways of getting there. Garman always wants you to back track Ana go their way and not go where you are and plot a different course.
Summary: Just kidding about the blender! First venture into a full feature GPS. Have been quite happy with other Garmin electronics (depth/fish finders; handheld GPS etc.) in the past plus -this was on sale when I ordered it.
Summary: I am still learning how to use the Garmin GPS and used it for the first time today and I was able to hear the directions clearly, which is a real plus for me since I think I'm a little hard of hearing.
Summary: When I first received my Garman, I thought all I had to do was hook it up and all would be fine. I soon learned that the maps were not updated yet. It took a while to figured out that I had to go on the Garmin web page to download and up date maps. After doing so, it works very well.
Summary: I find the Garmin nuvi 2595LMT to be easy to use, accurate, and it has lifetime maps. It is a great value but not "cheap". The voice command is fair to good, but not anywhere near as accurate as Siri or other speech recognition products. It acquires satellites quickly. Some GPS units don't.
Summary: Tested this out going somewhere I knew where I was going. Probably isn't the best thing to do but did find out it took routes that were really weird but would have gotten me there. The only thing is it had restaurants listed that has been gone for awhile.
Summary: Ordered the refurb GPS for my in laws. The product comes with lifetime maps for North America (US, Canada) and traffic. This is good as we go to Canada once a year and it comes in handy have a GPS instead of paper maps or cell phone service (roaming charges).
