  • Summary: Had the nuvi 2595 for a while. Works nice compared to our old Garmin. I dont have a lot of faith in it because the last two times I used it it took us on a ridiculous course. Recently when we were headed from Ft Collins CO to Glenwood Springs CO it was trying to send us up through some mountain pass...

  • Summary: When you identify locations, it is nearly impossible to set them into the device's memory as 'favorites'. All it wants to do is take you to the location without offering to save it, first, as a 'favorite' location for future trips.

All in all I do like this model but it is not perfect.

  • Summary: The Garmin has a view screen that is good. You can see where you need to turn well in advance and that is the main reason I bought it. It has the Lane Assist that is great when trying to drive and watch it also.

  • Summary: Great unit for about 1 year, after that multiple issues from touch screen to shutting down for no known reason. I now have to replace my investment with no warranty to cover it.

  • Summary: This unit does not provide the best routes. I have followed some routes this unit has given me and after driving them and becoming familiar with the area have found shorter more direct routes. This has happened on several occasions. I have kept up with the map updates.

  • Summary: Tested this out going somewhere I knew where I was going. Probably isn't the best thing to do but did find out it took routes that were really weird but would have gotten me there. The only thing is it had restaurants listed that has been gone for awhile.

  • Summary: Had one of these for myself and after using the voice command feature got one for my girlfriend who was headed to school in Texas. They made it from the northeast all the way down to Texas and didn't run into problems along the way.

Rather crude voice

  • Summary: I was a bit surprised to find that the synthesized voice in this late model GPS is much worse than that in my old Garmin Nuvi which is around 6 years old. The words don't flow smoothly together making it harder to understand and it mispronounces some street names in the same fashion as the old GPS.
